good day landed seniors, please can anyone enlighten me about Guelph. I have researched some, but I won't mind real life account cheesy.

It's a small town near the GTA. About an hr 20 mins drive to Toronto. There's a direct train from Guelph if you'll like. Things are cheaper, not much good job opportunities, not as multicultural as the rest of GTA. Would say it's like Akure.

Good day everyone , I am in a bit of a dip here
By God’s grace am supposed to leave to BC NEXT WEEKEND FOR SCHOOL and am currently trying to process my drivers license before leaving at least just to do capture and all but I was told I have to wait for a month for the driving school certificate to come out. But was given the idea of doing the driving certificate so that whenever I want to I can come back and do my license but paying ticket and coming back for a week cause of license doesn’t seem right to me

Or do the INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS LICENSE INSTEAD which will be valid for one year

So my questions are
Experienced seniors, which step do you think I should take ?

And also will the international drivers license be recognized in BC , I mean I am not driving anytime soon just want to keep it till after I graduate probably and heard some jobs need it?

If I do just the recognized driving school certificate of what use will it be to me in BC ?

Thanks for your well anticipated response.

Still waiting

Do not bother yourself with the DL Authentication letter from FRSC, they will not accept it at drive test centers. The only acceptable form is a letter from the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa. Well, I do not know of other provinces but I can speak about Ontario.

Don't know if this has been addressed but this is not true. The FRSC letter is collected in Ontario.

Good day my e-fam!

I recently did a short landing, submitted all documents required for processing my PR card including the PASSPORT and returned to Nigeria.

However, I just received a mail from IRCC requesting that I submit a different pair of passport photos as what I have submitted is non-compliant.

My question is this: where in Lagos Nigeria can I get a professional photographer that will take a photo of me in the required specifications?

(I will indeed appreciate input about tested and trusted photographers; have you used a photographer and was able to obtain a PR Card using the print out they made for you?)

Thank you all.

It better not be them because I want to apply for a PRTD soon.

Coconuthead, on a lighter note, I hope it's not Accra VO that is issuing this PRTD. Those guys can delay for Africa.

I don't think Guelph falls under the GTA at all. If anything it is more associated with the Waterloo Region than any other but it is the seat of Wellington County albeit a separate entity. With a population of about 130 thousand people it is by Canadian standards a reasonably sized city.

Even though Guelph is not dependent on any single industry, manufacturing jobs seem to dominate the city and in comparison with many other cities the unemployment rate is low. You will also find that because of its proximity to the Waterloo region (the tri-cities Cambridge,Kitchener and Waterloo) you see many people who live in Guelph but work in Waterloo or vice versa.

While I think Guelph is one of the nicer cities to live in the region I will advise that new comers in the area set their eyes on K-W proper as Waterloo is fast becoming an attractive hub for Insurance, IT and manufacturing type companies. (Just my views though). Overall, Guelph is a nice city with a touristy feel to it, not overly far from Toronto or the GTA but far enough to retain a slower and calmer pace of life.

I had a good experience with them too. Though, mine was business class not economy. We really enjoyed ourselves. We had a 5.5 hour layover at Cairo. The time flew by so fast that my mum thought we had only spent an hour. cheesy I didn’t feel the long flight at all. They are not so bad in my opinion. The good thing is their fare is also not too expensive.
