It's so sad, to think a lot of Nigerian kids have never seen a hedgehog, how much meat did the op get out of that little guy..It's really sad, how every animal ends in a pot in this country..

I wish these guys will sell these animals to me, I will create a mini conservative centre for them. I never saw a hedgehog in Naija, only saw one when I lived in UK..

The white woman just picked it up with hanky and gently dropped it off in a nearby bush..

Me thinks that it is poverty and lack of exposure that makes persons like the op to kill every animal they come across. Because like you rightly pointed out, how much meat did he get from this? He could have simply visited the market to buy some chicken and spare this hedgehog.


Just like you, it is my first time to see a hedgehog in Nigeria.


When I visited Kenyan sometime ago, some Kenyans I met at the Masai market made fun of me when I told them that I am a Nigerian. In their words, "You Nigerians eat all your animals, you like peppersoup".

Kenyan has a rich wildlife and tourists all over the world go there to enjoy nature at its best. Tourism generates good income for them.


I wonder when we will get things right in Nigeria.

Animal I've been looking for all my life. I have guinea pigs as my let and i really need a hedgehog damn.

Some children have Never seen such in their live. You could take it round private schools for exhibition and collect cash. People perish for lack of wisdom.
