Mr. Peter Obi debated a professor of economics in University Of Abuja and laid out solid points which earned him admiration and praises all over Nigerian media space.

Here are 10 quotes from his debate on channels.

1. “ If a man has not created wealth. He cannot manage wealth “

2. “Unemployment is worsening. In 2017 our unemployment ratio moved from 14.8% to 18.8% this year. This means that more people have lost their jobs. We can’t survive like this “

3 “You are borrowing money and the issue it was supposed to affect is not coming down. Poverty is increasing , children out of school moved from 10 million to 12 million. “

4. “ I remember Ngozi Okonjo Iweala crying everyday. Begging Us to save this monies for the rainy day. All the Governors disagreed. They said let us share it. Now we are borrowing to feed.”

5 “ All I Know is that Governance has nothing to do with age. Today the Youngest Governor in Nigeria is an Unmitigated disaster”

6. “ In a State in the North the number of children that sat for WAEC is 128. This state has about 5 million people. This is not acceptable “

7. “ I don’t have any single property in this country outside Onitsha. If you see any property outside Onitsha and they say it belongs to Mr Peter Obi. Burn it! “

8. “ When you are borrowing for consumption. It gets to a stage when you cannot control it”

9. “ Nigerians cannot aim for sky scrapers when we cannot maintain simple toilets “

10. “ I cannot pay 250,000 for one night in a hotel. I wouldn’t sleep that night. I will feel like I have been robbed. “

Ethnicity, Tribalism and Selfish interest are some of the reasons Nigeria is still behind in economic development. A Nigerian will see that the person(s) in power is not performing but because such a person is from his tribe, they will do everything to uphold his maladministration. What will you say about those that aquire properties here and there even in abroad using governments money, they keep on worshipping them as their god.

Believe it or not, Peter Obi is one of a great leader Nigeria needed, even if to be in government and handle a sensitive position to cleanse this country called Nigeria

The only problem a certain group of people will have with Peter Obi is that he's an Igbo man, not that he committed any crime or hurt anybody. Just that he's an Igbo man. Nigeria is a sad country

But Peter Obi was chief Executive of a state for 8 solid years, so why was he unable to implement all those ideas he is pontificating now. What stopped him from saving his own share of allocations when Okonjo Iweala suggested it? Did he need Okonjo Iweala, before he can save his own share of the allocations.

Theory is sweet in the mouth, practicals is the difficult part.

You should shut up when you know nada about a person.
Who do you think set Anambra state on the path of prosperity, if not Peter Obi?
During the worst of the recession, while your governors were borrowing and paying half salaries or none at all, Anambra was not all cos of the solid foundation Obi laid via savings and investments.
That's something nobody in the current administration, whether at state or federal level can deny him.

Go and check his record in Anambra state.
As of the time he left office, Anambra State wasn't owing a dime anywhere in the world.

He spreaded developments across all sectors of the economy....,schools, hospitals, roads etc. To summarize it all, I will say that he laid a solid foundation for development to thrive.

Above all, he still saved about ₦75 billion
