I would have been concerned about the shipping since its a runner but i guess you have a quote already. Which is not bad for vehicle location.

Mind you if parts are available .
The front of this car could be fixed in a day. Because you are simply removing bad parts and replacing them.
The issue with the car is the deployed airbag and that rear collision which would involve lots of body work which i do not like.

I only do auto importation for personal use for now .
But i have a vast experience about this more than many dealers.

I already made this comment before you should probably read it again.

If there wasnt a rear collision affecting the chasis. And it was just the front crash with no deployed airbag then its kind of an easy fix.
Because all parts will be replaced . Note all this parts are removable and disposable parts hence the easy fix.

Headlights
Left fender
Radiator
Front frame if destroyed .
And some minor things
Plus oven bake and co.

Pictures are quite deceiving this vehicle might also have a damaged sump or transmission .

But since it has a rear collision that affected the quarter panel . a panel beater has to work on that back. i dont like such repairs because car will look dull . i like them sharp smiley smiley

I dont like cars like this because most of our panels dont set their bumpers properly. But many end users in nigeria tell agents to bid It for them because they want to save costs

especially the rear, and spending 350k max is just somehow to me..... u will have to change and change and except u are advising him to buy knock offs then only suspension parts can take him back @ least 50k we haven't talked about body parts.... then radiator... oem...... bumpers toks not new...... headlamps etc panel beater.

I plan on opening a boutique auto sales and service outlet in Ibadan in a few years where I will offer low mileage, one owner vehicles with clean titles.

Personally, I think these auto manufacturers, in liaison with government agencies, should stop all exports of these damaged vehicles.

Do people listen tho? That's part of why my activity has dropped. Some people are hell bent on doing what they want to do.

Only advice I can give and I've given l given it elsewhere is to have a trusted mechanic/partner go check the cars before you bid. If you can't find one, you should stay out of the game.

E.g. in 2008 I bought a 2002 Land Rover Winchester edition that was classified as salvage for N1,600. Everyone overlooked the car. What was wrong with it? It said burnt. Turns out my partner at the time/ex knew better. It was in a dealership that burnt down around it. We bought it, swapped four tires, painted it, took to DMV for inspection and BOOM. $700 later no longer salvage. This was the vehicle I had the year of hurricane Ike and was driving through water anyhow. Turned around and let a friend have it for N5,000 after driving it a year. Friend had it until two years ago.

Some of the cars we have on our roads today are write off cars in the countries of origin.
