I guess the main beneficiaries of the present e-hailing state are those driving his or her own car.
Drivers on rental packages will find it really difficult at the moment.
Investors need to be patient, smart and sometimes rugged.

Uber was design for people like me grin grin grin
Part-time opportunistic side hustle, even with my 2.4L engine, Uber was still profitable.
Since I joined Uber early this year... As a lazy Nigerian yuut!!! My total trips is still less than 100 150 grin
The business is still profitable... challenges and getting good drivers also important... and so call managers too have their own madness from experience.... Now I have restructure my model, sack the old manager, hire new drivers... so far so good.
.. And I came to found out the new drivers with no experience are even better than old drivers.... So from now I don't mind hiring drivers with no experience.... They might have no experience, as long as they are smart and they know how to operate the phone and knowledge of Google map etc

Hmm, bad market.
This is what these drivers need, public naming and shaming,in fact my friend and I think we should come up with a portal dedicated to these drivers (and also partners) to comment and rate these guys, so anyone in need of drivers/ partners can do a preliminary due diligence through the comments/ reviews posted.

Too many complains about drivers. It is one story or the other. Whether na 30k or 25k or is it 20k weekly that a friend gave his car out for, na still problems from drivers.

Please name and shame anyone that is messing up this ecosystem.

In any business it takes time to be profitable... u don't expect to invest $100 millions in a business and expect to make that money back in two years.. As long as you can break even and not go into debt... this is not stock exchange market that u can sell stocks and can make millions in a day ....in my humble opinion ehailing is not a quick scheme make money business... it takes time to finally figure out how u want to run your own model ... for now I have only sold one of my cars... Due to minor rust ,but the engine of the car is very good and rugged ,elantra do have good engine..
But for now I will not put anymore tokunbo cars on the road.. But to me the business is still profitable.. Since Carquest is in Nigeria now , I will for sure give them a try... another issue from experience with the business is finding good mechanic, most will do try and error ,some will think they are the best thing that ever came out since slice bread... but will Carquest on the market, I think it is very welcome idea... I rather go and spend 70k to fix my car ,knowing that at Carquest there is warranty and the proper tools ,than go somewhere else .. I don't mind spending on quality job... once am around I will for sure give them a try...

Na waoo for taxifire and their ratings, from 4.95 to 4.78 under three morning trips. Not like we quarreled or anything.
Na waoo too these girls, I have noticed that most times we have problems in this jobs it must be Ladies.
I had to call the last one and asked her what my offense was, as we were talking she said that it wasn't her that rated me that it's her friend.
She even apologized.
Hmmmmm, I don't understand you ordered for a ride with your phone and another person had to rate me.
Same here, this morning from 4.82 to 4.75. Just because of 30naira change. Madt Taxify team.

May them fix this coin palaba jhoor

I got busted by police today taking a U-turn when the sign said no u-turn. I didn't see it until the police guys took me there. Who I want give story of the 5k I lost to them today.

Drivers are getting smarter getting their own vehicles now. Let soft loan with 20% interest be accessible to drivers and u will see that over 90% of drivers will dump their partners

My brother one thing is for drivers to own their cars, anything is for them to maintain... why do you think parts business is booming in Ladipo .. Drivers can barely pay their rental each week due to well , " tables go shake". Greed.. So na soft interest loan they want pay back ? Do u know why banks don't lend money to small businesses in Nigeria or individual... you self know now ..Go enter bank and borrow money now ....

First of all when you experience challenges on the road, your partner can only empathize with you but not necessarily ask you to take any losses from the agreed payment. See it this way, you rent a shop for business and pay rent monthly, you know you will go through all kinds of challenges making money from any business, but the landlord will still collect his agreed rent.

When you take bank loan to buy your car (just like some partners) you will know that whatever you go through, you must pay the monthly periodic installment cos bank won’t listen to any story. And by the way, bank will not just give you loan just like that without collateral. So if you tell story, they take and sell your collateral.
