been the poorest capital in the world, yet our banks are insensitive to its users. These are tweets made by a certain doctor on Twitter pushing for banks sanitation.

They say who no go no go know. Truth is, banks are the same almost everywhere.
Banking in several African countries is far better than many developed countries. Especially mobile banking

In Norway for example, interbank transfers take 24hrs. SMS notification charge is equivalent to N170.
I prefer Nigerian banking style by far especially when buying bitcoins. Charge me just N52 and do my transfer instantly.
Nigerians too like free things grin

UBA charges N11 for transfers to other banks

But the idea of transfer fees charges by our banks is fraudulent

Bank transfer is 65 naira here and UBA is the worst bank I've ever known when it comes to illegal charges like ATM maintenance I always wonder what they are maintaining when I am in custody of my card, also charges on SMS alerts involving birthday and monthly alerts. Presently i am not using my accounts anylonger except for salary which I always transfer immediately to someone else own account for fear of deduction and still they are charging the account with the 500 naira minimum account balance...I don't even know what to do again.

Indeed the way Banks deduct little monies thinking we don't observe.
It's annoying.

Even if you want to deduct, deduct with sense.

State the reason for the deductions.

And someone on that twitter thread was justifying the actions of the banks.

@segalink has said, this would be the next part he would fight against.

GTBank is the worse of them. Buy airtime, them go charge you. Receive funds, e.g 50,000.

Check your balance the next morning, 49,992.74k

Those banks are horribly fraudulent

If you want to remove it or block them, they remove you. We saw this play out with Sanusi. Emefiele got there and put back the charge. Upon all the left how many billionaires in dollars do we have?
