In an effort to reduce the population of unemployed youths of Rivers state, the state governor, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has announced that 7,000 qualified persons would be employed into the state civil service, with youths constituting 70% of that figure Governor Wike who expressed concern over the teeming unemployed youths of the state said, his administration will ensure that Rivers youths are gainfully employed for the betterment of their future.

Wike has been toying the same pattern that Amaechi was criticized off and made him to loose his goodwill among civil servants.

Dont just get carried away
Retirees are protesting in front of Government house on daily basis due to non payment of their pensions nor retirement benefits since 2015. Under this man administration, N10k stipends usually paid to corps members were expunged.
As a senior civil servant, no promotion approval for all those who are due to be promoted have been on level10 since 2013. Due for level 12 in 2016.
