Yes, igbo insults and campaign of hate during the Jonathan years made a lot of Yorubas wake up to the adversaries—I don’t want to say enemies—we have in the igbos. They hate Yorubas for a war not fought in this generation. Why they can’t face the Hausas up north beats me. They would rather sow seeds of hate in each generation of igbo kids who happened to be born in yorubaland. Yorubas don’t deserve igbo hate. I have said it numerous times. We have been nothing but hospitable to igbos.

I am a Christian and I deal with others in Christian love. The body of Christ is one. One thing I want you to know that if God forbid there is another war in Nigeria, we Christians in Yorubaland and worldwide will never allow igbos to suffer the carnage and loss they did in 1966. We shall allow igbos free passage to the east and abide by the rules of engagement in armed conflict. All I am fightinng against is undue hate against my tribe because when all inter tribal relations in Nigeria is reviewed, one would see that Yorubas have done nothing wrong to igbos.

Given the mutual animosity between both, is it not better to relate at a distance? The virtue of restraint cannot hold forth forever on our side. Our youths are getting radicalized by the day. What the igbos don’t know is that the undue venting of their frustrations in Nigeria on the Yorubas has the capacity of eroding any sense of decorum we yorubas have. There is an extent to the amount of hate and insults a whole tribe can endure. All these hate would have meant nothing if the igbos haven’t practically turned out land to their abode. We would have been able to stomach the daily snide remarks knowing that the igbos owe us no respect and live in their lands. But a situation where a stranger in your land has made it a habit to blame and hate you for no just cause over harm inflicted by another—Hausa Fulani—will naturally make the meekest human review his approach of relating to that stranger. And that is exactly where we are in igbo/Yoruba relations. The radical elements in yorubaland will assume control very soon and show the igbos the way out.

Yes I agree with u on this, that is why biafra or restructuring will help alot to achieve that, we have nothing at all in common and it's best we move apart from each other.

Igbos are peaceful but their propaganda and hate is second to none. You might feel that because you are not violent like the Hausas, you are innocent. But what about the hate passed from generations to generations of igbos about the civil war? Most of us were not alive during the civil and we have been made to bear the blame of a war fought by another generation.

If igbos insult Hausas from now till tomorrow, you will never see me react, but when you insult my tribe, I would fashion out policies worse than Awolowo to make you suffer. And that is the danger igbos face. You are alienating a very sophisticated and cunny tribe in the Yorubas and you shall pay for it. The only way igbos can escape this yoruba generation is to make sure that you take your wealth away from our land. As long as you have the best of your human and material resources in our land, you cannot escape the consequences of the generational hate you have bred in your children. Igbos have been tendered politically irrelevant, what if your cherished businesses are targeted by punitive policies of those you hate the most? I don’t want to even think about the pain that will cause.

So, we agree that Igbos are peaceful folks who would never hurt their host or visitors, or attempt to take things from them without buying it from them at a price no other group would be willing to pay?

And d fact that they are not as accommodating is infuriating...d kinda freedom of owning businesses and buildings by d Igbos in Yorubaland can't be tolerated in d East.
