DENIED!! Please I need an advice.. GURUS Pls Help
Am 23yrs graduated 2016 [Bsc in Biochemistry with a 2.1], youth service 2016-2017(Ministry of environment and mineral resources), I have a professional certificate in Health safety security and environment (HSSE level 1,2 &3) which I did during my service year. I applied and got admission for a 2yrs post secondary diploma in ( Healthcare and environmental services management) in centennial college. Tutition fees paid. $8000cad
I was denied based on family ties, purpose of visit, and personal assets and financial status. My most confusing problem is in this personal assets and financial status, I indicated my dad is my sponsor, provided his company bank statement of #700million inflow and #40Million as closing balance, his CAC, memorandum of association, with his sponsorship letter, he is the ceo and signatory to the acc, also submitted a board of resolution letter from the company written by my mum with company letterhead because she is one of the directors.
I don’t have a personal landed property though my father has lands and houses, I filled in my form that am currently working in that same my dad’s company as the company’s secretary, which I joined this year Jan after service in dec, no employment proof was added like employment, introduction or leave Letter, as I joined the group late.
Since my admission has been deferred to next year fall, I plan to start crediting my acc with 100k monthly with my father’s company name as depositor name ,as per salary for the next 6months, and this will sum up to like #980000 as I want to present my personal SOA in my next application.
I don’t know if the VO will check if that money have been entering since this year Jan I said I started working, or do they just go through the submitted bank statement?
Hope this can solve the personal assets issue , points on other refusal reasons are welcomed. Already ordered my GCMS note but I still need more clarification
THANKS

Just to mention really, I ain't a guru and I do not want to be so called. So, straight to your inquiry...

If you ask me, your reason for denial is not because of your finances. As I read through, what struck me was your choice of a post secondary school diploma when you clearly stated that you have completed a B.Sc. in Biochemistry.

The reasonableness of your degree is the problem (i.e. the purpose of visit). As a 2.1 graduate, what you have chosen to do in Canada is not reasonable (in the language of V.Os). As such, the officer feels you are not a genuine student. A proper career progression will either be a PGD or Master's. In fact, a Master's.

I'm afraid you may be denied again regardless of how many times you apply except you look into this issue. My advice is for you to look for a Master's degree in your field and request for a refund from Centennial. You will only be charged $200 Cad.

I'm sorry for the turn of events. Please don't give up. Nothing should discourage you because you have all it takes. Shalom!

I have read a post here of someone who didn't even get to Canada before applied for his wife and she got her SOWP
As a matter of fact, you can apply for SOWP along with your study permit. People only apply for study permit first so as to be able to use their spouses as home tie.

B.SC. in biochemistry, second class upper, currently working as secretary and pursuing 2yrs PGD in Health Care & Environmental Service Mgt..............hmm is your dad's company into Health or environmental services?.............or else the level of explanation required to justify the purpose of this your proposed study is enormous ooooooooooh.............

As for the family ties , from my review of your information provided.... you havent given sufficient proof for economic ties.....your economic ties isnt convincing enough to propel your return to Nigeria upon completion of your studies in Canada....is there a likelihood that upon completion of your studies you would take over a key role in your father's company? is there any evidence showing that you are being prepared for this key role?

personal assets and financial status- Since you have declared being employed, pay stubs, salary account in your name, pension statement, fixed deposit or other investments will suffice for this.

Thanks for your contribution, the company is a steel company , just assisting my father since I finished youth service last year Dec, remember apart from my bsc in Biochemistry, I have one year work experience during my nysc, was posted to ministry of environment and mineral resources, I also have a professional course on Health, safety , security and environment (HSSE or HSE level 1,2 and 3)

I dropped my passport for stamping following a passport request on Monday. Due to me being late for the September resumption at Thompson Rivers University, I have contacted the school for me to deferred to the January 2019 entry period.
Will there be an issue when my TRV foil is stamped on my passport?
Moreover will I be questioned when landing in Canada in December?

Hello everyone. Please, can you guys help me with the link to the web form? I think its high time I write to CIC. Unfortunately, my program director said I can't defer my admission. I can only reapply if I don't meet the Sept 16th deadline and re-admission is not guaranteed. So I have to shoot my shot with the VOs today. I did upfront medical already.

Won’t it look like am desperate

I believe sometimes the VO's like guidance counselors try to put you on a path you may better appreciate in future. Unless you have a strong reason and personal conviction on your previous program choice, they may be nothing wrong in moving on up.

Yes I do, the post secondary diploma program is more of practical studies, and field placement is one of the courses in the course program outline offered in the 2nd and 3rd semester of study. I don’t know why the VO is seeing it somehow.

studied biochemistry working in a steel company and then applying for a program related to environmental management doesn't add up. you don't even have any proof that you genuinely work there. pay slips, salary account, income tax etc. It's painful you have all other necessary details just didn't show much progression in studies

None yet. applied june 13th online no response.... Contacted my school to defer my admission though

Do you mean to say you have not done your bionetrics? I submitted an online application yesterday and just this morning I got the biometric collection letter. I just tire for these Canadian people, they are just damn unpredictable.

This saying is apt when it comes to Canadian study permit.
Did u need to look for a supervisor before applying to this course

So I landed in Montreal yesterday 4pm Montreal time. The only thing the border officer uttered was "Hey, welcome. can I see your passport". I passed it to him. He then entered it onto his system, stamp it, went behind his desk, printed out my Study Permit and passed it to me with my passport. Then he said "Welcome to Canada, that's it". I said "Thank you, have a lovely day". That was it.

No questions asked. No correspondence letter asked (If he had asked I didn't even have it printed out, it was on my phone since I got in transit. to Canada). Nothing about my school or where I am going to. nada.

I am no guru, but i suggest you defer regardless cos there is nothing like being organized especially when starting something important plus classes definitely start today and you would definitely be behind even if they respond next week. Have you done medicals though?

Thanks so much for the advise.

As for medical, I have not done medical neither have I received any email to proceed for medical.

Rather than guessing, why not write the international students office for guidance?

You won't be the first prospective student in this situation so they might have put in place laid down procedures to treat such cases.

Thanks so much for this.

I have written to the school but no response. I planned to call them today.

Thanks.
