My Brother CU does not give Admission to Just Everyone...
Infact Many are Not given Admission due to one thing or the other...

Quite a Number of students in CU and Landmark are on Scholarships..
It's not about your Money in CU... Its Performance first..

I find this difficult to believe. I finished from Unilag, and I know a lady two sets after me that got admitted at age 15

There is no Manipulation. Unilag has had this policy for a while now. You must be at least 16 years of age before you can be granted admission. The parents should have done proper research before choosing Unilag. Many other schools don't have this restriction. I know that OAU doesn't for instance.

Now it's another argument if the restriction should have been put in place in the first place. There are cogent reasons for and against why people under the age of 16 should be admitted. However to claim manipulation is wrong. It has always been the rule. And i am glad they are not budging. Let the clamour be for the rule to be changed generally rather than for just one person.

I wouldn't know o but most times, African parents like pride... "My son is 16yrs and he is an undergraduate in unilag studying medicine". It may not even be what the child wants but they would rather push their dreams on their kids

Depends on the uni he put in for. Only a private uni can cater and watch kids like this especially guys they cud fall into the wrong hands in public or state universities

Don't be sentimental about this issue, why bringing it up again. He's not the first that will be denied admission because of his age shortcomings into federal universities. More brilliant boys and girls than him abound in Nigeria it is not a new thing

A Lot of Students there Cannot afford the Fees... many take advantage of Scholarship Programs...

you don't know Yoruba professors, they always prove oversabi , yet certificateless man rule and determine their destiny. That boy should just take change of institution form. BTW, why will Jamb register underage in the first place, they should give the young man admission or refund all his exams expenses with interest or else. God punish them.

I expected an educated chap, which I presume u are, to ask the parents to report the school to ministry of education or National Human RIght Commission
But as a typical Nigerian, you went involving religion
Seems religion isn't done dealing with this country yet
