yomi96:it's not about his own political influence, it's about APCs. I personally dont like how he emerged, but the opposition is too fractious to challenge APC. if the opposition were united, they would easily defeat this unpopular imposition but that's not the case. Ogun Central bloc will vote for him and he will split Ogun west votes with others. Adebututu cannot win anywhere except remo, the rest will be splitted too. it's sad but the coast is clear for him. |

Guy stop being myopic with your comment. I expect you to talk of competency you are there saying how unpopular a candidate is. saintol: |

yomi96:You are the one saying nonsense here. This guy will defeat both of them in 2019 ..Party Popularity will play out and not candidate popularity.. .APC will win OGUN central and OGUN west.. Ogun west knows their best shot at finally producing a governor is by voting for Apc massively. .ADC is not even that popular yet in Ogun state ...ladi will only win in Remo Axis having it in mind that Kashamu might spoil ladi's chances in Ijebu axis if he decides to contest. Ogun central has the voting strength to support any candidate to become the governor.. |

What then about states like ekiti and ondo that never had a Muslim Gov. ? Aren't there Muslims in these states? Christians seems to be the ones promoting religious bigotry and the same time raise false alarm of islamization agenda. Simple, remove religion from politics and everyone will be fine. TheAngry1: |

TheAngry1:Where were you when Gbenga Daniel replaced Segun Osoba? You don't mind Fayemi replacing Fayose or Akeredolu replacing Mimiko. It is okay for a Christian to succeed another Christian but when a Muslim wants to succeed another Muslim...It becomes a problem to you. Be sincere for once please. |

I know little of this and it's enough to surpass vessels of ignorance. Anything you hear that sheds hatered on Amosun is definitely from civil servants and this buck of individuals are reputed for usual tursle of supremacy between political class and them. And reality has always been proven - political class knows more of poeple, interact and penetrate them (the larger buck) than civil servants. And political class never relaxes its muscles whenever this swang is to be used. My point, move around the state, sample opinions, be objective (this I have done, and gave me this courage), then you'll realize that Amosun has the larger buck of electorates in his pocket than anyone else. And by way of trusting, people will easily accept Amosun's interested man than any avaricious individual. |

let do the mathematics Akinlade and GNI are from Yewa Ladi is from Remo The scenario that transpire in 2011, will happen again, where Amosun won because Olurin and GNI both from Yewa did not buried their hatches. Ladi to win by margin. Yewa lo kan, Ijebu lo ma se. Akinlade + Adepoju cannot upstage GNI talkless of tackling Ladi The forces of Tolu Odebiyi + Bimbo Ashiru would have been a perfect combo. |

Omofunaab2:You really know what you're saying. Leave those online ranters that know next to nothing about Ogun politics alone. This guy is the next governor of Ogun state with what's on ground. Amosun is a smart politician and he knows how to handle it. What he did for akeredolu that made the man emerged will also play out in Ogun come next year. Ogun central votes with a huge LG like ifo and Ogun west votes with ado odo ota votes will see this guy win. Ogun east doesn't necessarily have to vote him. |

vision2050:Watch and see. Akinlade is more competent than odebiyi if you know the guy very well. He's a workaholic like amosun and also a visionaire par excellence. |

[quote author=Omofunaab2 post=7107 35% votes from Ogun central is what PDP need, APC will still win Ogun central but not like in 2015. All in all we don't want a governor that will owe civil servants salaries, denied citizens dividend of democracy. |

Omofunaab2:You are truly from Ogum central,I don't how PDP will win in Abeokuta south, north, odeda, ewekoro, obafemi owode or ifo, where precisely in Ogun central will the party win? |

yomi96: ![]() March next year is not far...may God spare our lives beyond next year...But i am telling you that Akinlade will win d entire Ogun Central...He win atleast 3 of d 5 LGs in Ogun West (Ado/Odo, Yewa South and Ipokia LG...maybe even Yewa North.. who knows)...That's already 9 LGs in d bag...APC will win atleat 3 LGs in Ogun East...Then its game over. The main reason why GNI can't win is simple...his party is weak in Ogun and he doesn't have d financial muscle to build structures for d party across d State...Obj has no political strength in Ogun politics and won't even give anybody his money to run for office. As for Adebutu, he is a Remo man and not an Ijebu man...Ijebus want an Ijebu man as Governor not someone from Remo again after Daniel who came out thru d same Remo...another factor would be d ouster of Kashamu from PDP...if he's not pacified in PDP he may just play d spoiler...now i am hearing that Bimbo Ashiru as just resigned from d Amosun government...meaning he will run as an Ijebu man most certainly on another political platform...technically he can't win but he will weaken Adebutu in Ogun East. Ordinarily Triple A has no political clout for now to win even Ogun West Senatorial ticket...But with Amosun on a Senatorial ticketat d Central and his achievements in d district ...plus d political platform, APC...Akinlade is good to go. It won't be easy...a lot of work still need to be done by Amosun to close ranks with d aggrieved and sell his candidature to d Ogun voters but it will be a close guber race sha. |
