OP, don't get carried away by this meaningless gesture from netflix. The montage is featured in a netflix Spanish Language series about fraud called La casa de papel (Money Heist).

The only reason the 100 naira note appears, is to represent Nigeria as the hub of financial scams in Africa.
. sense will not kill you.

The series is very interesting, I've not seen it tho.

Are you sure that currency will ever be reprinted or the are still angry that GEJ insulted them by removing Arabic inscriptions which have never been part of the languages spoken in Nigeria.

One of the most interesting movies on Netflix- La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) has the Nigerian One Hundred Naira note in its opening montage. You can clearly see Obafemi Awolowo's N100 face at 00:48- 00:50.
The producers must have a reason why they have chosen the Naira for the montage instead for example of the Spanish Pesos.

I felt quite proud though seeing the Naira note shown in the montage.

You feel proud because your N100 that has no value is in the opening montage of a D rated soap?

You are one of the problems of this country. A country like Nigeria shouldn't be nibbling on mediocrity. I guess Americans would masturbate to death simply because their currency is used in music videos round the world.

Not when you view in Large screen

I was initially happy when i saw nigeria note then my bubble was bursted after watching the full movie as i realised the movie did not promote nigeria image positively just like the film titled italian job did not give italy good name . If you are happy after watching the film then you are happy they are spoiling our bad image abi na case of somebody trying to kill a dead body? lol

You don't have to make a public shown of your inadequacies and inferiority complex.
You need to see the same Therapist that helped Harrysong, before we hear something sad about your case.

It is "public show".

What you term as "inferiority complex" is just harsh reality.

Anyone who gets happy because their country's currency was shown on TV and feels it's something of a national score is in dire need of a psychological re-evaluation.
