There is a parastatal called the National Bureau of Statistics that always provides facts not propaganda.

Reno hardly cooks up propaganda unlike zombie lords.

So I still stand by what I said, prove it or keep quiet.
All points stressed out by Reno is undoubtedly transparent truth

Reno Omokri Should Rather Blame GEJ and not Buhari

Here we go again. 3The foreign exchange rate was about N180/$1. But there were othter factors to consider in order to know why Naira fell to N363/$1

1. Nigeria earns 95% of her forex through crude oil export.

2. When Buhari took over from Jonathan, the oil price was $37/barrel.

3. After Buhari took over, Niger Delta militants declaredf war on oil facilities which brought the daily output to below 500,000 bpd. That was a deadly and massive blow on our only source survival as a nation.

4. GEJ left about $35 billion in our resrrve which was the part of funds saved by OBJ and Yar'Ardua. That amount was too small to sustain the economy.

5. The fall of oil price, the attack on oil facilities that brought oil production to below 25% and the fact that the immedate past govt did not save but went ahead and spent the money saved by OBJ and Yar'Ardua was what brought the pressure on Naira.

6. Nigeria was not the only nation that devaluated her currency due to fall of oil price. Russia, Egypt, and other OPRC member nations all had their currencies affected. Venezuela's economy lies in ruin today because of the fall in oil price.

7. In Nigeria, the demand for dollar was high but the only means for Nigeria to earn forex was undfer heavy attack by Niger Delta Avengers and this was the sole reason many companies folded up because they couldn't source for dollars resulting the lost of millions of jobs.

8. That was why the govt went for foreign loans so it can be injected in the economy because that was one of the 2 options the govt had to save the economy. The other option was to tax the masses even more to raise money but Buhari said no to that because the masses were already suffering due to the state of the economy.
sorry

Certainly most people including the likes of Reno who this administration is certainly not favoring will disagree with Ngige but if critically analyzed, Nigerians have lost a whole lot of cash in importing goods we are capable of producing and this government is at its best in making that a history as this has being seen in the Rice farm production.

You've forgotten one important fact: Buhari has borrowed more money than the entire PDP 16 years of leadership.
Pls add this to the points you made above.
All your points seems to suggest that GEJ had more money to spend than buhari. Accepted!
The global economic crisis didn't really favour buhari's administration. But when you consider the sum of money he'd borrowed so far, and the ones he claims to recover through his glamorous corruption fight, you'll see why we refused to accept excuses for his failure to deliver the Change he and his party promised us.

The question u should be asking are

Why did GEJ borrowed to pay salaries in the first quarter of 2015 which was just few months after the global fall of oil price?

That alone will give u the picture of the state of the economy because if he had to borrow to pay salaries despites all his govt earned and the fact that his govt was enjoying over 2. 5 million bpd till he handed over to Buhari was a clear indication that the economy was bleeding to death.
.How much did Buhari inherited from Jonathan to enable him run his govt?

With deady and massive attack on oil installations by Niger Delta Avenger which brought oil production to below 25% and oil price at $37/barrel, where else did u expect Buhari to get money to inject into economy that was almost collapsing?

IMF asked Buhari to raiae money vya tax but he said no because the bad state of the economy had made some comoanies to shut down and the people were suffering. So, borrowing to save the economy was the ony way out..

If Jonathan had managed the economy well, Buhari would have no business borrowing that huge amount

Is that what your dull mind told you?

You kept on fooling yourself about empty corruption allegations against Jonathan. Why haven't buhari prosecuted any case against him successfully?

Is buhari innocent of corruption? What of the over $2billion traced to his Midland bank account, the one that the second republic Senate was trying to probe before buhari kicked them out via a coup?

In a saner clime, people like you would have been given a permanent home in a psychiatrist hospital.

Now let's leave party, religious and tribal sentiment aside; let's take a critical look at buhari's administration.
Since I am not in the mood to argue with you, I will accept that everything you said about GEJ is true. Let's say he messed up the economy, that's why buhari is borrowing so much. But after all the money that buhari borrowed, our economy still remain messed up till today. People are losing jobs and foreign investors are scared to come here. At least buhari didn't pay any of GEJ debts, if he was paying it, I would have accepted the excuse that GEJ's debt is the reason why he failed to perform. So I can't see the reason why you are using GEJ's failure to justify buhari's failure.
I believe when buhari promised to change Nigeria, he had already seen GEJ's failure and the state of our economy. So why should we use those factors to justify his failure? What makes you think he'll not fail again and still blame it on GEJ if given another 4 years in office?
