Some of them died but the rest escaped and the lady police decoded his message and went to meet him

OP, don't get carried away by this meaningless gesture from netflix. The montage is featured in a netflix Spanish Language series about fraud called La casa de papel (Money Heist).

The only reason the 100 naira note appears, is to represent Nigeria as the hub of financial scams in Africa.

I think this is a marketing strategy. They have different versions for different countries based on your country's IP address. They want you to be connected with the whole story.

One of the most interesting movies on Netflix- La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) has the Nigerian One Hundred Naira note in its opening montage. You can clearly see Obafemi Awolowo's N100 face at 00:48- 00:50.
The producers must have a reason why they have chosen the Naira for the montage instead for example of the Spanish Pesos.

I felt quite proud though seeing the Naira note shown in the montage.
