Few days ago, Boko Haram insurgents invaded and attacked Gudumbali town in Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State. Scores of the terrorists who stormed the town with several pick-ups, gun trucks and were shooting at troops’ location with AA (Anti-Aircraft guns), which unsettled troops before the troops regrouped and foiled the terrorists attempt to take over the town. 

The army revealed that the troops also inflicted overwhelming casualty on the terrorists due to superior fire power while some of the terrorists fled to the fringes of Lake Chad.

Normalcy has been restored to the town after the attack. 

Meanwhile, following the new wave of attacks being launched on troop’s bases by Boko Haram in a bid to retake Nigerian territories, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Tukur Buratai has relocated the Operational headquarters of Army Headquarters to Gudumbali in Guzamala local government area of Borno state.

It was reported that in a bid to finally curtail the recent sporadic attacks by the terrorists in the North East, the COAS has relocated his operations HQ to Gudumbali in Borno State.

I saw this thread earlier but never paid any heed to it thinking it was one of those stories cooked up in some air conditioned office. OP, respect! Only if others can be like you fake news won't be threatening to destroy us. On behalf of Baba, I confer MFR on you.

Nigerian army successfully repelled the attack yesterday night. It's not easy inside bush, all the people behind BH will never seen peace on earth and hereafter. All the personnel that lost their life in the course on saving Nigerian, I pray God to forgive their short coming and grant the family the fortitude to bear the lost.

OP you forgot to add that no single life of the residents of the town was lost.

Media love exaggerating news and they lie too while doing so.

Let's wait a little before we know if there were casualties or not. The NAF once upon a time said no girl was kidnapped in Chibok.

Nothing like waiting a little. An investigative journalist on ground already declared there was zero casualty to our military and to the indigenes.
