Mrs Kemi Adeosun Resignation Is A Case Of Corruption Fighting Back. by CsRockefeller(op): 8:29pm On Sep 15, 2018
In the month of June, NNPC remitted about N147 billion into FAAC for the month of June. This figure didn't go down well with members of FAAC which the Minister of Finance heads alongside state commissioners of Finance.

They demanded NNPC refund monies as oil price during that period had increased. NNPC were going back and forth, giving the excuse that they have met the minimum agreement of what they should remit into FAAC as agreed with the Governors.

I recall, as corps members we weren't paid until the 12th of July, in fact, the issue wasn't resolved until the end of July when the Vice President intervened, many government workers got their salaries for June very late.

I wasn't surprised that a week into the imbroglio, Mrs Kemi NYSC certificate scandal came up/broke out. It was simply corruption fighting back.

Former Efcc boss Mrs Farida Waziri once said that "when you fight corruption, corruption fights back". Mrs Okonjo Iweala corroborated her statement with her book " fighting corruption is dangerous".

Clearly, some powerful Government officials have decided to steal from our common wealth, and any hindrance to their plan must be removed.

If you think Mrs Kemi resignation is a good event, then think again. Now, with Mrs Kemi out of the way, this cabal will probably have a filled day to the cookie jar and have a swell time like Winnie the pooh.

As I conclude, I ask, how many Nigerians can beat their chest and say they haven't cheated the system before? How many Nigerians haven't cut corners one way or the other to get their ends met?

The Law was made for man, not man for the law, but we have chosen the law over faith/competence/ability, too bad. However, posterity will be kind on Mrs Kemi, her achievements despite the atmosphere she met the economy and her honorable act will continue to speak for her even in death.

These are my thoughts.

Here we go.
The former minister herself admitted to possessing a forged certificate procured for her by some 'close associates'.

How is that the fault of her detractors?

This is what I have being saying to resurgent2019 but he fails to understand.

There is more to this case than NYSC.

I believe Kemi has seen clearly that Buhari is not sincere about a New Nigeria and so decided to quit.

Very soon, Osinbajo will follow suit.

You still don't get it? Kemi was pressured out because of her fight against corruption in some agencies and ministries e.g NNPC.

Do you expect her to talk about the FAAC remittance debacle?

You have a point but don't forget what brought the whole argument is forgery which she admitted in her letter. If there was no forgery there won't be all these conspiracy theory.
