please my sdcard got corrupt after I inserted it into my laptop to charge. please how can I retrieve my important files from it

I bought a 32 gb m.Card (Samsung) from jumia for N3k, but I was hugely disappointed when it didn't read. Fake as the word fake. I was so pissed, the I just dumped the card in one corner of my room. Waste.

Ali express would've made a lot of sense.
I bought a 128gb memory card there and after 2 months, is still working.

Having been in/around Computer Village for over 5 years, we can tell you directly that: THERE IS NO WAY TO PHISICALLY EXAMINE A FAKE MEMORY CARD AND KNOW ITS FAKE.

The only way to do so is: TO TEST IT.

For example if it is a 32gb memory card, transfer files that is at least up to 20gb into it and check to see if it retains the data. To check, remove it from the current device and put it into another device to see if data is retained.

THIS CAN BE QUITE TEDIOUS THOUGH. Some other tips:

1. Buy from shops, don't buy from roadside vendors (most of them sell copy/fake).
2. even when you buy from a shop, it is still not guaranteed that it will be original but at least you can return it, although, getting money back can be tedious.

Yes this is a great way to test original memory cards but you can still verify with a 1GB or 2GB video file. Play it afterwards to ensure the video corrupted.

my advice is to buy your SD cards from reliable sources, that what i did and i have never had regrets with the SD card i a using on my tecno device.
