Agbons101:I believe there are exceptions to the rule. For example, if your program of study is 2 years, and your passport validity is 1.5 years, you cannot ordinarily renew your passport unless it is remaining 6 months or less to expire. Under such circumstances, I think I have heard that they may give you 1.5 years visa per the validity of your passport. If your passport validity is less than 6 months, the rule as stated by you may be applied since you can renew your passport and save everyone stress in the near future. For USA visit visa, the visa validity can go beyond the passport validity. Upon expiry, you can travel with the old expired passport with valid visa as well as the renewed passport. |

My bro just told me something which I don’t know how true it is. He said hes proceeding to plan B this weekend for winter term (though am still expecting to hear from CIC) He said province also matters By population where the government want more people. Could this be true? (My school is in Ontario, Ottawa precisely) |

DRscience:Hello madam, I will personally advice u push for a master's. Many schools check for your last two years in school and they use this to determine your average. My main reason for telling u to secure a master's admission is strictly for your visa application. When applying to study in Canada, it's one thing to get admission and it's a bigger thing to get a study permit. To be candid with you ehn, you have a higher chance of getting a visa for PHD than a master's , a higher chance of getting a visa for a master's than a college diploma. P.S - I never mentioned that college applicants don't get visa.. but chances are slimmer than a master's applicant. Also, you can have whatever u need here. Paying for agency is just a waste of funds. Just take your time to read through the thread very well. Pls read through very well before asking questions ooooo.. cos at this moment, people are tensed and they don't like stupid questions.. ![]() Welcome to the thread! |

Please. Is it that a GPA of 3.78/5.0 cannot get a masters program in canada for engineering? University of newbrunswick : reject twice University of saskatchewan: reject twice at pre-application form level. Queen's university kingston: no spot for me Saskatchewan again: no response on pre-qualification form (changed department) Please I need advise on schools that have high acceptance rate. And now January start has been taken away again.. I need heads up please. |

dubaiboy1:Bros, 1)What course did u apply for? And what's it's relationship with your UG course? What's it's relationship with your employment over the years? Is there any progression? If it's different, explain this very well in your SOP. 2) proof your home ties with Nigeria. You applied in Dubai. You have to explain what you are doing at Dubai and the plans you have to come back to Nigeria. Good luck as u re-apply. |

hotboss:You can get admission.. apart from Queens university (wch I don't really know much about), unb and usask have considerably average tuition and it's making them have a lot of applications. I once applied for computer engineering in the schools and I was also rejected. My advise is that you apply to schools with a little bit higher than average tuition fees and apply early. If I may ask, Wch engineering course are you applying to? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by hotboss: 5:22pm On Sep 19, 2018 |
jandj:Mechanical engineering. But my last pre-qualification form to university of saskatchewan I changed to biological engineering due to reject twice by mech. And because of my interest in biofuels. |
