The man is just too petty and vindictive, look at the the JJT park he built for former Lagos state governors in Ikeja, he vindictively excluded Fashola as if Fashola was never a governor in Lagos state.

He's even erasing and duplicating Fashola's projects and he's abandoned nearly all the projects Fashola left behind. We don't do this in Lagos state and this kind of regressive behavior and culture should never be tolerated in Lagos state, this is what backward clowns like Wike in Rivers do.

Ambode should stop sinking his political career, he should decamp to other party like Sen Nurudeen Adeleke did.his potentials will speak for him

As far as i am concerned,Ambode has done super well just like his peers has previously done....My major concern is the intimidation involved because i do not want to believe Tinubu is set to destroy his plans as the second term comes forth, these are questions i am so clueless of the answers yet...but let us all fold our arms and watch the next move as it unfolds.

It is left for his party members to decide his fate, not all of us can be Party members.

Going against Tinubu at this point is also going against your own preferred political situation in Lagos state, according to Tinubu himself, folks like you have accused and blamed him for imposing candidates and governors, (We can't have it both ways) but now he's saying no more automatic tickets which is imposition and all candidates must go out there to test their popularity and canvas for votes.

Yes, we have the so called mandate group and other forces influencing political decisions in Lagos state, but thew same mandate group are feelers in the community, they are the grass root folks, the mobilizers and representatives of their various communities, they see and hear the rumblings in their communities good or bad.

The grumblings against Ambode came from the people via the LG folks and Lagosians in general and there's absolutely nothing Tinubu himself can do about it. This is far far beyond Tinubu's power, influence and reach.

Lastly, this is an opportunity for people like you and other Lagosians to throw their hats in the race and compete with the other candidates and win or lose, we have to start fro somewhere and this is a good start, the field is wide open, no more automatic tickets, the new order is direct primaries.
I don't care about the mandate group or whatever it is and not a fan of ambode either, Heck that guy allowed lagos to be dirty again but we just av to get people we want not someone Tinubu wants

Fact is, Ambode is sabotaging the APC as a political party in Lagos with his incompetence and destructive policies. It's also a fact that his achievements are meager and far far behind his predecessor's first term. At the moment, Lagosians are fed up with Ambode simply because what they are witnessing at the moment is regression back to pre 1999 Lagos that they left behind under Tinubu and Fashola.

The fact that Lagosians are not defending Ambode like they did to keep Fashola in office means his pretty much not worth defending and they won't miss his exit.

The party right now is basically trying to fend of other political parties from taking advantage of Ambode's failure, even Lagosians are fed up with Ambode.

it's even hard to stomach or rationalize relegating LAWMA, the most effective waste management agency in Nigeria, taking away tens of thousands of waste management jobs and food from Lagosians in favor of foreigners and foreign owned companies.

He even guaranteed their existence with bond money from Lagosians.

Politics aside, Tinubu and the APC are doing the right thing
You have said it.

There are some videos going round about K1 making fun of Gov. Ambode...

Do i support K1's action?

Hell No!!!

He shouldn't be gloating.

even for the fact that the video was secretly recorded while K1 was talking to his close associates.

But, lets look at it from from this angle.

Many people are angry with Gov. Ambode because he did not do the right thing by not giving them what i believe is their right.
Am talking about the party members now.
Because, he did not become the Governor by himself. It was the party that worked extremely hard to make sure he became the Governor.

The election was so tight to the extent that APC almost lost Lagos because he won with the lowest margin ever in APC governorship race in Lagos.

Even in America, once you use the party structure to get into office, it's normal to take very good care of the party members.

K1's situation is a bit different because he has to spend his money first on the campaign before gets paid later.

Its almost four years now and still counting. He would call the Governor severely even go to his office so many times yet the Governor won't even see him not to talk of discussing his money.

In the midst of all this, K1 lost his precious daughter Wasilat.

Now, let me tell you something about Yoruba tradition.

No matter what's the problem between you and someone, once that person is bereaved, that is the end of everything.
Reset button has to be set.

Could you believe that during the period K1 was mourning his daughter's death till today, Gov Ambode is yet sent him a text to condole with him not to talk of calling based on all his efforts to get him to power.

Haba!! Ki lo le toyen.

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Tuesday said all aspirants for various elective positions for the 2019 general election under the banner of the party, will be made to face direct primaries.

What about we all start putting our names on the ballot and stop complaining.

Very sad.

Gloating is never a cool thing, but I do understand.

Ambode pissed off a lot of people, including me too per his lousy performance, incompetence, pettiness and vindictive behavior hence the lack of support he's getting from Lagosians and the party in general.

Nothing can change the fact that he is not a team player. He brought politics of bitterness into Lagos, how can you continue to fight party members after you have been victorious? Despite the fact that they all campaigned and contributed towards your victory at the general election.

Ambode really disappointed me o, I know that civil servants in Lagos did not like Ambode, they don't want him as their Governor.
They see him as a self centered man, I know how hard I tried to get the few civil servants around me to vote for Ambode.
What I don't understand is, the LAWMA / vision scape issue, what exactly does Ambode stands to benefit from dismantle a working set up, now see how untidy everywhere looks.
The sweepers are seriously laying curses on him, so many of these people are out of jobs, and the ones still at work are not getting paid as LAWMA now use the vision scape saga, as an excuse.

It is not intellectually sound to compare Lagos with any other state in Nigeria. We have the population here, Lagos was the capital before, major corporate headquarters are here, the port is here, and many industries are here. If you want to compare Lagos with any other city, look at other major cities in Africa like Joburg, Cairo, Nairobi, Casablanca..Addis Ababa...e.t.c.

Mind you, all the attractions of Lagos are not because the state government at different periods has done anything much.........It is just because of the status of the city since 1900.
