The Nigerian Army in its quest to unravel the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Maj Gen. Idria Nur Alkali (rtd), has been conducting several search and rescue operations around the last known location of the missing senior officer.

Consequently, the COAS Lt Gen TY Buratai constituted a Joint Task Force comprising officers and soldiers from 3 Division Quick Response Team, Operation Safe Haven, Nigeria Police Force, Vehicle Inspection Office, Fire Service, as well as Local Divers.

According to a military report, several logistics issues including the alleged sabotage from the host communities have hampered the success of the operation.

Due to the terrain in the general areas of Paddock in Lafendeg Du Plateau State, the task force consulted a Chinese construction company working in that area who promised to assist in drilling out water from the pond where it was suspected that the vehicle belonging to the senior officer was pushed into.

However, the Chinese company was forced to withdraw from their services due to continuous threats and protest by women in the community clad in black dresses.

In the midst of this challenge however, the Task Force continued with its search and rescue operation which led to the recovery of an 18-Seater Hummer Bus door. This discovery indicates that there could be other vehicles in the same pond hence the continued protest by the community.

It was earlier reported that the army general went missing after leaving his house in Abuja on Monday 3/09/2018 for Bauchi where he has a farm but is yet to be found. He was alleged to have been kidnapped and killed in Plateau state. 

The major general was reportedly found dead in a pool of his blood along the University of Jos teaching hospital’s permanent site, according to a report by journalist Bello Lukman. 

According to reports, the deceased’s car was found alongside various other automobiles, ranging from motorcycles to tricycles otherwise known as Keke Napep.

But come oo, So the Nigerian Army can constitute a task force like this in search of missing persons. A task force made up of the Police, Army, Air-force, Navy and down to boys scout.

All the above forces or para-forces were constituted to search for the vehicle of a deceased man, not even his body o because his body has been found and confirmed to be deceased.

Now my people, what sin did the innocent and poor amongst us commit not to warrant a task force as multi-faceted as this to be constituted for them.

What task force has been constituted for Leah Sharibu, what task force has been constituted for the chibok girls, what task force was constituted for the victims of herdsmen's massacres in Benue, Plateau and every where else, what task force has been constituted to sort the welfare issues of the soldiers being sent to be used for shooting practices by the boko haram while these ogas seat and chill in their cozy offices..

So many what's. .......

It is so very unfair....

But as God and posterity liveth true....

The perpetrators probably dumped their vehicles in the pond too so that they won’t be traced or found .

I don't really get this....If they have found the body of the general and his car, what were they looking for in the pond? Was this pond operation carried out before or after the body of the general was found?

just bought trouble for themselves. Those plateau natives living in isolated villages are notorious for waylaying high ways that pass through their communities to periodically kill suspected Muslim commuting as a way of reprisal killings. Now it seems they killed the army general and for fear of being traced dumped his car in a pond after dragging his body away from d sight of his killing to another area around jos university teaching hospital.
Those beroms and their allies are real savages masquerading as xtians
