I have dual nationality since 2002 and no one has ever asked me to pay any money before. I show them both passports when departing at the airport, one permits me to enter plane to go back and one permits me to stay in Nigeria as long as I want.

I have over 16 people with dual nationality in my family, non has ever paid any fine before.

Happened to my brother in October 2012 and he avoided paying because he was a muscular dude and he stubbornly refused to pay stating that the name on his british passport was Nigerian.

It’s a levy paid by foreign nationals but the government is excepting Nigerians with dual citizenship from paying the fee going forward.

I have never paid or been asked to pay a levy before and I fly into Abuja, most recently 4 weeks ago. I only tender Nigerian passport to immigration on arrival but both on departure. Only get asked on departure “anything for the boys”? Arrival officers don’t ask.

It happens, If you ve never witnessed it doesnt mean it never existed. Ordinarily Nigerian people flying in and out of the country experince extortion most times one way or the other that many had to miss their flight, now If this could happen then how much more of a people with dual citizenship. Nigerians travelling frequently can attest to this EGUNJE all the time. I had the experience several times. Put hatred aside, isnt it a good move if eventually included in the law . I wonder where our sense of patriotism is , many here tends to politicise everything to the extent of blaming everything that went south in their lives on Buhari. If you arent satisfied with your goverment, get your PVC and do the needful. Stop been nonentities online, your comments are read all over the world and we youth have become laughing stocks outside the country.

I have long come to that conclusion when Aregbe became governor of Osun state saying the state borrowed bla bla bla. Baba entered come redefine borrowing for the state.
