What of soak-away in a water logged area? The same dimension with yours but not block instead raft (casting) all round is going to be used

That is the sunking type. Casted on the floor snd sink into floor. I beleive 12mm rods are used for ironworks before being casted with concrete.

If I am right, below is what I spent on mine.. I did this with other jobs, so I just extracted it... so this the cost, give or take.
This is two separate ones, not joined together like some others. And I hope this will help you out.

Soak-away Cost
Sizes: 10 x 10 x10ft and 6 x 6 x 6ft
2 loads of sharp sand = 36,000
1 load of soft sand = 18,000
1 load of gravel = 20,000
450 pcs of 9" block @N140 = 63,000
35 bags of cement @1,800 = 63,000
30 bags of waterproof cement (1K small bags) = 15,000
Labour = 60,000
Plumbing Materials = N60,150
Plumbing Labor = N35,000
Iron Rod = N30,000
Iron Bender Labor = N10,000
Carpentry work on Soak-away = N15,000

Total = N425,150

No. They were not connected with pipes. The pipes into them were run separately.

But wont d septic tank gets filled quickly, due to water from flushing & there isnt any pipe for overfill run off to soakaway if u understand what i mean sir?

True. But that is how it was done then. The idea of linking for water overflow is nice and it's been used frequently nowadays.

Cost depends on the size as said by "Hajj M."

The cost below shows the Material Schedule and Labour Rate that i spent last on the septic tank and soak away of a project i completed last year at Omole Phase 1 Estate.

Septic tank excavated dimension: 3m x 3m x 3.6m deep
Soak away excavated dimension: 1.8m x 1.8m x 1.8 deep

Note: The septic tank has columns at the four corners and also cross beams was introduced across the suspended slab because cars will drive on top of the soak-away. Also cost does not include internal plastering of the septic tank.

Labour Excavation: 40,000 (The soil terrain in very solid and some part seems rocky a little bit, the excavated materials were also transported to a required point of use)

Materials for block work
1. 9inches blocks - 350nos
2. 6inches blocks - 150 nos
3. cement - 10bags
5. sharpsand - 5tons

Labour for block setting: 20,000

Materials for concrete work(ratio 1:2:4)(5cubic metres of concrete)
1. cement - 25bags
2. sharpsand - 5tons
3. granite - 10tons

Labour for all casting works: 20,000

Materials for formworks

1. 1x12x12 board - 25nos
2. 2x3x12 plank - 10nos
3. Nails - 10pound

Labour carpenter (fix & remove): 12,000

Materials for steelworks

1. 16mm diameter high yield bars - 10nos
2. 12mm diameter high yield bars - 20nos
3. 10mm diameter high yield bars - 6nos
4. Binding wire - half roll

Labour ironbender : 10,000

Well, while my intention is not to counter the honest effort to make it easy for one to Know what to expect or spend for aseptic tank project, i have properly estimated a septic tank project from beginning to end!

The only thing left for you is to take the highlights number of materials quoted to the market and obtain the amounts for yourself
