At an open field in Ekwuoma community, the defectors were received by PDP chieftain in the area, Chief Gabriel Azukaegbo Njokede, who assured them that there would be no discrimination against them, adding that their decision to move into the party automatically makes them one indivisible members of the party.

POLITICS – Current update as about 5,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ika North East local government area of Delta State on Monday dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area.

Most of the decampees were mainly from Ekwuoma wards in Ika North East local government area, who claimed they were fed up with APC’s alleged lawlessness and lies laced with deceit.

“Come 2019, our core mandate is to return Okowa for second term, therefore, I am confident that Okowa will win again to complete more projects” he said, urging the defectors to work assiduously for the victory of PDP at next year’s general elections.
