But interestingly, Ronaldo won more interceptions for Madrid than Modric.

With just 2 goals and 1 assist. Only one man of the match performance, and lucky to get to the final because team was on the easy side of the draw. Modric was by no means the best player in the FIFA world cup.
He wasn't even the best player for Croatia in the world cup. Rakitic, Perisic and Brozovic had better impressive stats and games in the world cup for Croatia.

Ronaldiho, Zidane and Kaka deliver regular man of the match performances, through their dribbling skills and chances created for their team. Ronaldo created more goal scoring chances for Madrid last season than Modric, a supposedly world class midfielder, let that sink in. Yet peeps want us to believe Ronaldo is only a goal scorer and not a creator, they insist we must ignore the stats, how ridiculous.

Ronaldo was highest goal scorer in UCL and ended the season with 55goals. He was already a force to reckoned with , same with Messi. Salah a one season wonder with Liverpool fc. No cup at all at all. Even in a world cup year his country left with 1 points or so. Mbappe and Griezman won the world cup and with other cups at club level. Lionel Messi was Europe highest goal scorer and won Spanish double with his club. And u still feel none of them deserve to be in top 3 ahead of Mo Salah. Zidane, Ronaldinho, Kaka Al scored decent amounts of goals and created tons of goal scoring chances for their team mates.
Modric does not in anyway fit into this mould. He is just not spectacular. That's the point. No scintillating dribbles, no jaw dropping diagonal passes (Lampard and Gerrard excelled at this), Kroos and Casemiro has more tackles than him, Ronaldo made more interceptions than him.
