This means he is 88 now and that makes it 13 years age difference between him and Buhari and not your erroneous 8 years

Even if your calculations is correct, don't you see something wrong with the story on how a 13 year old would have completed primary and secondary school education and be in a position to not only teach someone 13 years younger, but also award him a certificate?

However I can speculate that Buhari as were most northern boys those days went to school late so sate for exams at an older age than we have today. So you do the math

If I assume Buhari sat for waec at age 20 that means Ajayi would have been 33.

Becareful with the speculation. Because we have mathematical and statistical gurus on NL.
Even if Buhari was 20 when he sat for the exam, we may start counting his age and progress from then and also start looking at Ajayi's own progress and age in his own career....
It's just that this certificate of a thing is given Nigeria such a bad image outside. I am sure if Ajayi were to be asked to provide his own certificate now, it won't take more that 48hours.

Problem is not whether Buhari did not have a certificate but let him tender it or alternatively let London Cambridge/WAEC display the broadsheet wherein his name appear as done in the case of Adeleke.

It is an insult to the armed forces — a terrible insult to the armed forces. If they are so embedded in the system and they have lost their souls, then they can go ahead and join everybody else in castigating a General of Buhari’s calibre. They are now talking about a school certificate. What is that? By the time he joined the army, in those days, there were no cutting corners. It is later when these same civilians took over from the army that admission into it became less transparent. I can give you an instance. There was Course Five around 1964: if one did not have a school certificate one couldn’t apply to join the army. And I know up to 1963 when the last General Officer Commanding left Nigeria, there were no corners to be cut. There was no such thing. Everything was on merit. And, that was how it was till Buhari’s time. Buhari attended the Mons (Officer Cadet School in Aldershot in England) and the Staff College; I don’t want to think they have an idea what they teach in those places. And the rest of us pretend as if we don’t know what they do there. You send a man to America for one and a half years in a military school. Do they think he just went there to learn how to fire a rifle? No.

So for some reason, Buhari should put his waec certificate in a safe deposit of a bank for over 50 years of his life because of someone like you right? As if you didn't hear that when his government was overthrown via a coup, most of his documents were burned in the process which was why he had to swear to an affidavit to that effect.

The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, UCLES, now Cambridge Assessment, has provided further details on the West African School Certificate, WASC, results presented by Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Candidate in the February 14 presidential election.

In a new post on its website, the university confirmed result grades for the examination in 1961 were issued in numbers, not letters, as suggested by critics of Mr. Buhari who have dismissed the results he presented as fabricated.

According to Cambridge, “Examination results were classed in grades from 1 to 9”.

“1, 2,3,4,5 & 6 indicate a Pass with Credit; 7 & 8 indicate a Pass; 9 indicate a Failure,” the school said.

Results tendered by Mr. Buhari shows he had credits in English Language, Geography, Health Science, Hausa Language; failed in Mathematics and Woodwork, and had a pass in Literature in English.

In its post, Cambridge said for candidates to qualify for its certificate in 1961, they needed to pass English, and not necessarily Mathematics.

We only issue replacement certificates for a limited time (see above). After this time, we issue certifying statements of results. These are an official copy of the final examination results held by OCR and can be used as proof of qualifications gained.

This is stale.Have you heard about confirmation of certificate by issueing bodies Yes scenarios like these do happen but the bodies concerned can issue a mini-statement acknowledging the person concerned truly wrote & pass the relevant exam.
British Cambridge once said only Buhari can give such authorization for that to be done for him.So why is he fidgeting
I guess you also sat for WAEC/WASSCE before? What happens if for any reason your cherished certificate got lost and you're being requested to present it for employement?
The stark truth is that Buhari does not possess any O'level qualification as he enlisted into the Nigerian Army based on a defective quota system that saw many of the then northern officer fraudulently joining the force

Agree that Cambridge have clearified that, so how come Buhari said he submit the alleged certificate to the military sec.but still unable to retrieved same while @ the same time telling the world that he lost same during his ouster by IBB?
Even also going to hire SANs to defend a certificate he claimed he possesses instead of simply tendering same to clear all doubt as WAEC did in the case of Adeleke.
