Nigeria's women basketball team D'Tigress have crashed out of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after losing 71-40 to the reigning world champions, USA in their quarter-final clash played today as they failed to seal a place in the semifinal of the tounament in Spain.

This brings the end of the road for a wonderful D'Tigress team after having made history at the tournament by beating Turkey to earn their first-ever win at a FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup and making the whole country proud.

No African team has ever won three games at FIBA and our girls broke that record, I am so proud of them..they made Nigeria proud..Even if they didnt win the competition, they are still a winners.
