Check the CVT fluid in that gearbox o. If you can, drain and refil. The engine in that car na die-hard. The auto, not so. Don't try owerri to Onitsha as mentioned by a poster below me. The section after the rivers state boundary into owerri is horrible. I fell into a pot gee pee tank hole before control round about that nearly swallowed my car whole.
Just follow warri route. Its better and faster.

Its a manual tranny sir

Hello car Gurus, enthusiasts, techies, Kazeems, Demeanors and my buddy Dancok.

This section has not been as active as ot used to. So I decided to bring some of the old flavour back. I remembered Gazzuzz' trip from the East to Lagos driving his ever reliable '98 (now 2000) Toyota Avensis and decided to do likewise.

My trip starts tomorrow from the Garden city of Port Harcourt and end in the seat of West African civilisation, Lagos. I will hopefully be returning back the day after arrival.

I am quite familiar with the routes to take and avoid, however, your input is always welcome.

I plan to take pictures of the scenery, bad and good spots amongst others.

I only ask for your encouragement and views on this thread. Yabbing is allowed but no insults please.
Ogun state Section of the benin lagos road is craaaap, can cause a lady to have miscariage.Seriously

best route. use the bye-pass at benin, and watch out for bad spots between warri and oghara.

i would have lobby for innner benin city... i used the bypass last two weeks... i dont know the area but at the massive trailer park (that was already encrouching the road) there is a big ditch/gully that cars cant pass... you will have to go off road which is already blocked with trailer and trucks.. and so help u God if a marcapolo from the east get there before you...

I hope you are in Lagos now.... confirm your presence..

Last time I pass Elele road @ night I was on focus mode doing 140km... Does guys no get chill. My junior bro slept inside a church one time during an ongoing robbery or kidnapping he escaped. Guns rained for over 1hr.

If you sense a beef rising with police in that area try to be friendly as possible and bless him quickly to avoid plenty talk. One asked me of allocation of plate number (Old Plates). I just gave him 500 he refused I played with small he collected 1k. I was with my wife and mum.

You didn't take much pictures.

Download this speedometer app to let us know your top and average speed through your trip back.

This was my last trip to Benin same route in August.

Network was a real downer today. If it improves on the return trip, I see no reason why not.
