Ortom is now a free man, we are going to render Akume useless 2019....

I still believe that he'll do better in his second term after leaving the shadows of Akume. I am still hoping that the Dr Samuel Ortom who personally told me his excellent vision for Benue State when I spoke with him just before his win to become the governor of Benue state will now be free to do the right thing.

I was personally disappointed with him the way his first term in office went. I just hope he will be able to transform Benue State if he is elected for a second term and rebuild the confidence people once had in him.

Even though I'm not from Benue state, the backwardness of that State bleeds my heart. For goodness sake, it is suppose to be the foodbasket of the Nation.

I feel pdp may have hand in this benue state herdsmen crises. Ortom joins pdp suddenly the killings halt.

Ortom went to Obagaji in Agatu to issue threats to the community after about 300 Agatu people were killed ( he told them to give some parcel of land to Fulani Herds men residing there in other for peace to reign). Ortom as at then never believe that what goes around comes around today people have forgotten what happened between Agatu and Fulani in 2014 and 2016. No body blame religion ( Jihad) for the crisis because some part of the area affected have Agatu indigenous Muslims and they even marry among theirselfs ( the Agatu and Fulani), but people blame Agatu for living together with Fulani for long. At least as for now the war between Agatu and Fulani have reduced and now its between Tiv vs Tiv fighting each other as a result of their political differences, and Fulani herdsmen vs Tiv fighting because of grazing issues but people outside Benue want to read different meaning to the problem so that the narrative will change to Jihad. Before Jonathan became the president, Fulani crisis has been going on in around Kadarko ( Boundary between Benue and Nasarawa), Zaki Biam ( boundary between Benue and Taraba that is Wukari axis), Takum and also in Agatu. No body called it Jihad because as at then all the state involved, that is Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba and Plateau which all have boundary between each other are all under the control of PDP and today on Taraba in under the control of PDP that is why they called the crisis Jihad. If PDP win these State today, the crisis will reduce

. Most Governors in Nigeria usually performed to some extents good in their first tenor in office and performed very poor in their second tenor because they knew coming back is not allowed. But now that Ortom did not do anything during his first term I wonder if he win this coming election what is going to happen. As Somebody from Benue zone C, I never expect any Tiv man to do any project for us because they are not also doing anything for their Zones (zone A and B). Jime, Ortom, Suswan to me they are the same its only Akume that tried in his first tenor and at the same time the architect of the problems we have in Benue today. Lack of basic amenities, No job opportunity, no youth empowerment programme at state level, and security challenges, but at least no private security organisation in Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Abuja, and Lagos that you will not find some body from Benue inside, that's what we have been reduced to and the good thing about these is that we are very happy with our leaders at the state level

l am from Benue state and l must say this my heart is very heavy l filled depressed,disappointed and short of words.l give up on any form of expectation for the state.

You are right, most governors do well in their first tenure and Ortom really disappointed the Benue people, I hope he does the right thing if re-elected. The truth is that Benue State needs the best governorship candidate that will take it from backwardness come 2019, may the better person win.

PDP is not a better option though, but this man deserves due respect...

Which normalcy? Has he paid workers salary? No developmental project from for over three years. Fulani killing is a politicalundertone to garner political sympathy.

Good for the people of Benue, this man actually left rge ruling party when he felt his people were not protected by the government after all his plea and cry fell on the deaf ears of Mr. President.
Let him first of clear salary backlog and win the heart of his people once more then he will be victorious at the end of it all. He should also settle all political diferences he has with Gabriel Suswam to further weaken George Akume

Oyinem, I am from zone C too precisely idoma. Voting ortom back for second term will be disastrous aas he has nothing to lose after 2023 and as such his second term performance if he wins will be abysmal. I know PDP is relying oon votes from our zone.

How will I celebrate someone like Samuel Ortom who is invulnerable to true regret.
God pls help us the Benue people to differentiate between good and evil.

To be candid with you, the Dr Samuel Ortom I really knew before he became the governor would have transformed Benue by now but for the negative influence of godfatherism from Acume. If he wins a re-election, which would most likely happen due to the power of incumbency, I hope he surprises the people of Benue State with all-round development.
