On October 1, 2018, DJ Cuppy innocently celebrated Nigeria's independence with a tweet that reads, 'today, we experience the joy and pride of being called NIGERIANS! The greatest nation'.


This, however, generated a lot of mixed feelings among angry Nigerians with one @kingwole starting a thread to address Cuppy's 'insensitivity'.
Reacting to the backlash, she took to Twitter and fired back at them writing: 'The difference between your opinion and suya is that I asked for suya... LOL

Otedola is obviously not a saint but this your example is wayyy off. He reached out to DSS when the senators put pressure on him to pay bribe.

This happened back in 2012. It was sooo big a story then as Facrook was a serving senator since 1999, always claiming integrity. He is still on this case, six years down the line!

Otedola recorded the whole thing and submitted it to police same 2012 but I think it was played in court in 2016 or so...

Find another example, this one doesn't implicate him as you think...

This is false. The total bribe he allegedly paid was 620k dols. 500 to Facrook and 120 (100 and 20) to the other senator. All 620 were captured on video and audio. They didn't put pressure on him because he initially paid.

They wanted him to pay 3 million dols so his company be taken off the list of subsidy thieves.

Whether he stole or not (most likely) is different... but the committee just wanted to rope them all in and extract money.

Oando was also named but Wale Tinubu appeared at the hearing and cleared his firm.

Otedola wey dey collect loans without adequate capital and use political links get deals. Remember his epic fight with Dangote after breach of their gentleman agreement.
