You have to abide by the rules of the system that brought you into prominence. First law of power " never outshine your master". |

I now understand what people mean by APC and tyranny. How can you beat a child and force him not to cry. Even PDP in their worst evil days couldn't descend to such level of wickedness. Mbadinuju decamped to another party in 2003 (Anambra) when he lost his party's ticket to Ngige. He was never impeached. Ladoja (Oyo) decamped to another party when he lost his party's ticket to ALao Akala. He wasn't impeached for that. and the list continues. Why threaten him with impeachment? is he such a threat to their success in the pools that they have to force him to stand down? |

sogodihno:Don't forget the last election APC and PDP in Lagos State... One Oba made a statement to Igbos because of Ambode lol The results was so close... For your information does PDP supporters are still interested in PDP. Long live the OBA... We are waiting for the next comment. |

Elayna:i tire o. What many dont realise is that the method deployed during the voting process was option A4 otherwise known as open ballot system. This mean you queue up in front of your preferred candidate and thats how they know if you are for ambode or their choice. of course, when you openly declare for ambode, your treatment awaits you and the outcome wouldnt be good so everyone who wish to safe his or her life wouldnt openly do such. we all know what happened to those that went against their candidates in osun and ekiti. hence the astronomical figure we saw in the margins, even within the party. Now the onus ia on lagosians generally at the main elections to reject that kind of leadership that subdue the will of the people and the harassment that follows. I dont blame Ambode, he needs to do what he has done by accepting defeat in order for thing not to deteriorate and 3yrs of immense progress gone to waste, he is being smart though it was a bit reactive when he should have been proactive. He should have proactively foreseen this coming andntaking adequate step for his relection but his supporters should know better by now and anybody that has lagos interest at heart that without him speaking to kick out this government if they ever want to count again in the polity of lagos. My message is to the elites. Tuesday primaries done by APC revealed that the electorates that vote are the lower class. That election took place on a working day when the weekend would have probably been more inclusive and those that took part were those who didnt have anything to loose. Direct beneficiaries who want rig the elections, touts, petty traders and mostly, the ones i would generally refer to as non enlightened one who fall within the lower class because i dont see any productive person in which majority are middle class or upper class leaving his or her work to engage in any election that would probably be ended up beaten by thugs. So it was really easy to control the outcome. The elites which comprise of the upper and middle class shouldnt sit on the fence and watch their lives dictated by one man. To maintain balance, they need to be part of the voting process in the forthcoming elections and should fight for their votes. Especially the middle class that forms the biggest population in lagos else, Lagos is going nowhere |

Shocking from my people to concede and worship at the foot of one of the major oppressors in the country. Slowly but surely, he's gathering an army of unemployed youths whose main jobs are extortion or fighting under an umbrella guise of NURTW. These rogues are then used to push and subvert elections in their favour all over the SW. PVCs or votes are looking less important! Show of shame for the members of the Tinubu Criminal Mafia who are here extolling the criminal virtues of their overlord. |

Instead for many of you to focus on the politics of the states of each one of you, most of you just using paracetamol on another person affairs. Go and agitate for the betterment of your state and leave Lagos and South West alone, power must change hand one day because that's natural. Stop comparing your region with others because what fail to work on your side may work at another side. Charismatic authority of Yorubas first moved to Awolowo and he left for Bola Ige, it moved to Tinubu, one day it'll change to another person |

hush15:Nice writeup but you forget that this is not general election but party primaries, how many of the elites and middle class in Lagos are card carrying members of APC. Before Ambode gets to general election he has to win the mandate of his party first just like saying because Saraki is good at checking APC as senate President he must return automatically as senate President. He will need to first win his senatorial sit before contesting as senate President. Same thing with Ambode only that he never cared for the party and it's members despite riding on their support to win the election so it's just pay back time for him nothing more |

| Re: Ambode Accepted Defeat To Avert Impeachment - Punch by KingRagnar: 12:16pm On Oct 04, 2018 |
Ambode accepted defeat because it was the right thing to do, unlike those who lose and say afterwards that their mandates have been stolen, or those who take an entire party to court on account of the fact that they lost. Those who have honor are those who accept defeat without unnecessary hysteria |

| Re: Ambode Accepted Defeat To Avert Impeachment - Punch by Newmanluckyman(m): 1:15pm On Oct 04, 2018 |
PassingShot:...he will still be impeached because the argument currently going on in the APC inner chamber is that AMBODE HAS LOST THE CONFIDENCE OF THE PEOPLE . The primaries results speak volume. It's the voice of the people. And why should an unpopular individual be occupying the position of the governor of the state. This is the political logic going on in Alausa and Bourdilion right now. |

| Re: Ambode Accepted Defeat To Avert Impeachment - Punch by Newmanluckyman(m): 1:28pm On Oct 04, 2018 |
PassingShot:...politics is deadly. Another argument IFO his impeachment is that he might sabotaged govt informations or leaked it to a third party before leaving office. You know a wounded sheep could be more dangerous than a lion |
