Messi led on the pitch last night, chasing balls and was totally unplayable, Arthur's overall play meant tottenham team were preoccupied and occasionally Arthur with his space awareness and ability to take out one or two tottenham players gave Messi a lot of space. Semedo shouldn't be a bench warmer anymore, Phil really needs to learn space awareness, he really doesn't know what to do when not given space.

As for the pass to Messi Fc most of y'all are talking about, whats the fuse about it?, we've always been a pass to Messi Fc, From Pep, to Tito to Tata to Luis and EV, Infact, every coach to have coached barca acknowledges that they would never have had the success without Messi, every barca coach's job has been to create a system that makes it easier for Messi to score goals. we have always been a pass to messi team. When Messi got injured, Neymar and Suarez stepped up because they knew there was no Messi to save them from the bench. Point is no team, i mean no team would have a messi in the team and not get him the ball always. So all this we are pass to messi fc should stop. This is not to say EV is a manager fit for Barca, we almost lost a 2 goal lead last night, EV isn't good enough for Barca standard but it is what it is. EV is an average coach at best. At this juncture, this is a no-brainer. I knew we'd win the game from the outset. Meanwhile, not to take away anything from the coach, but the reality is that, wins like this tend to take off the lid in his case. This doesn't change anything about him. He's not tactically astute. He is bad with rotations. He doesn't improve players... Mehn, don't even get me started.

You are saying this as if every coach from Guardiola till date have not struggled without Messi.Dont even start with Enrique because he had Neymar and an in form Suarez.If Suarez was scoring at least half of messi's goals,the team wouldn't depend only on messi.for the records,last season was the best season defensibly for barca who went almost unbeaten and lost only 3 matches.Apart from that Roma loss which was pure tactical nonsense from the coach,the season was overall an A+ and that was coming from Neymar going to Psg which left the team highly unblanced.Valverde was able to balance the team and get a below average Paulinho playing very well.Lets give him some Respect

Yes its the fear factor thing.Honestly,when i watch Barca under him,am like what is this man doing.Was it valladolid or something that barca won by a goal this season,the team were matching barca tow to toe and only lost that game due to Var when they score in 90 something minutes.Valverde was so comfortable winning by that goal.After eatching that match,i knew if Barca met a stronger team than Valladolid they would lose like against Levante last season and i was right with Leganes.The thing is if he goes away from home,hes very poor and often at times loses it completely until messi bails Barca out.Just that the thing with him is Hes very good defensibly.The reason Barca has conceded much this season is highly due to Pique being in bad form and Valverde switching from 4-4-2.Other than that,i think hes a very solid coach

I have to disagree on Suarez.a player can play well and not be in form but that guy is just bad especially this season.He misses chances that Harry Kane will not even blink twice to score.I have watched him and not his statistics.Hes only good wlin link up play with Messi and that was seen yesterday.And yes Paco has been better than him for some time now.Each match i watched paco play,he always scored and he won some games for barca last season.And yes you are right,Valverde doesn't know how to utilize players but that doesnt mean that he has not been very solid for barca.Atleast his stasts say so

Nice point you raised about Suárez's form. Now tell me, whose duty is it to either improve him or bench him? Did you say the coach? Of course! If Suárez has been below par for God knows how long, why then has the coach not explored other options?

And let's not forget that the Barça that we've come to know is not all about winning. Heck, if you win without playing good football, then you get called-out. Lucho suffered the same fate of playing not-too-well but winning and was called out for it on countless occasions.

Need I dare say EV is too conservative for a Barça coach? Gosh!

Arthur is the Xavi's replacement we've been waiting for, he only needs to play more minutes and improve in his vertical and through passes.


Alba was dope as well, 3 assists from him that's out of this world.


Lenglet is a good prospect, he showed glimpses of what he can offer yesterday.


Semedo is not barca material for me, offered little in defence and doesn't offer much when he ventures forward, Roberto will continue benching him.


Nice performance from the team yesterday, stepping up after terrible results in the past weeks, that was a confidence booster.
