This is not about PDP but the struggle to secure the party tickets across board. APC is the ruling and most popular political party in Nigeria right now. Securing the party's ticket is a sure banker to winning the general election and for that reason, there is a serious competition for the party's ticket. The violence is not totally unexpected. Leaders of the party will sort each other out.

Its so unfortunate that the Nigerian state is heading back to the state of nature. When political party's primaries are marred with violence or god fatherism.
what becomes the outcome of the main elections? Adams Oshiomole is forming ABACHA in APC. After PDP National convention losers will start revealing secrets. No major 3rd force as promised! Still old recycling Politicians. Which way Nigeria. I just pray the collapse US predicted to be 2015 doesn't turn out to be 2019.
