Afam4eva:And you think they didn't conduct their due diligence before choosing Owerri or you think you know more than them? Just watch and see them succeed in this. |

1400 from UI to Shopright, abeg sey wetin happen, help me call micra.
Ibadan people dey too financial conscious to buy this kind product.
Owerri might work sha, but that 5k for a one way trip sound somehow.
PH would have been cool, guess it was avoided due to security issues.
How about Enugu ![]() |

OlujobaSamuel:We generalise too much about this Ibadan. Believe me, that city is one of the most underrated in Nigeria yet, almost every politician in the South-West has a house in the same Ibadan not to mention so many industrialists and so on. Taxify must have done some research but I can tell you that Ib has people who are ready and eager to pay more than that amount just from UI to Dugbe alone. |

Udopasa:no one starts a biz without doing background study yet giants fail every now and then. I personally dont see that of Ibadan succeeding. average tfare in ibd is #100, those far location na #150 max, even bike sef na #100 and #150/200 during peak period, so i go do big boy enter #1400 car when the #400 go carry me go come. btw, most of the rich dude in ibadan that can afford such would prefer to go in their car as there is no heavy traffic as we do experience in lagos, and majority lives there due to low cost of living not for show off. |

01mcfadden:You're visibly irritated by Taxify's move. Perhaps you can start a movement to ensure the venture fail because Ibadan is a city of many worlds with the elite and the rich hiding in the background of the brown roof you see. |

traihit:hmmmmmm, let's wait and see. we are here to just voice our view, we cant change the company stand for now, let see how event unfolds by this time next year. Though I'm not optimistic about it, i wish them(every business because I also have mine) well. i pray they dont fail. |

rozayx5:You're very correct. Ceety taxi is doing very well and the founders are young and vibrant PH boys who even get down with their customers to solve issues. That's why I even have them as my profile pix. |

DWJOBScom:If you think Airport taxi Union will allow any uber like service in their territory then you must be joking ... I remember how an Uber driver I hailed in Abuja airport got the beating of his life when he was detected by those people they just dropped my load from the guys car and continued beating him up |

OlujobaSamuel:see you. Seems you don't know there is one existing in ibadan before taxify. Alakowe taxi is quite affordable and there are lots of riders willing to pay. |
| Re: Taxify Debuts In Ibadan, Owerri by Yewandequeen(f): 10:58am On Oct 05, 2018 |
traihit:The guy isn't aware that there is one existing before taxify coming on board now in ibadan. And they are doing very well. Infact I have someone that gets ibadan to Lagos trip like beans, usually 15k-20k |
| Re: Taxify Debuts In Ibadan, Owerri by Yewandequeen(f): 11:00am On Oct 05, 2018 |
olatunji0607:You can register with Alakowe taxi too. At least you would be getting rides from Two companies. |

One of the problem river state has is the GPS system. Google needs to improve on the GPS system in all major Nigeria cities. Street tracking has to be done the way it is abroad. | Re: Taxify Debuts In Ibadan, Owerri by Elxandre(m): 11:48am On Oct 05, 2018 |
Lol. People asking if they would make money in Ibadan are ridiculous. Successful business fill in deficiencies, and there is a lot of lack of fresh taxis in ibadan. These guys did their research, and i believe they got it right. BTW, who says only paupers are in Ibadan? Lmao. |
| Re: Taxify Debuts In Ibadan, Owerri by everyevery: 11:53am On Oct 05, 2018 |
The same way you predicted failure for shoprite when they hit ibadan and right before your big eyes they floated the lagest shoprite in West Africa and they are raking in huge bucks on a daily basis. In same Manner Taxify will succeed, just keep breathing |

| Re: Taxify Debuts In Ibadan, Owerri by Dzhenry(m): 12:17pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
Taxify carry due research before they open base. They consider security of the business, competition and presence of govt taxi schemes, transportation problems and reachability, population of the teaming youths, night life too as well as market structure and government policy on transport investment. Its not really about how rich a city is. Let me say. PH may be the last to have taxify come in to invest. Truth be told. Ibadan might even fourish better than owerri. But owerri was a good pick. Let me go and get my Car ready abeg. Taxify owerri here I come. |
| Re: Taxify Debuts In Ibadan, Owerri by kay7: 12:39pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
OlujobaSamuel:I agree that Ibadan is grossly under-rated. Establishments like Dominos, Shoprite, and a large number of three star hotels have proved that Ibadan is a potential commercial market. With a large population which includes students and workers, I think the choice of IB is right. We should not also forget that Ibadan is a weekend abode for Lagosians. Most Lagos workers have their houses and family in Ibadan. |
