The separatist/rebels record successes here and there by adopting gorilla tactics but yeah I agree with you.

Anyways i think Nigeria should play a more active role in that conflict, simply because they are our neighbors and we share a land border with them.

I've warned before believing everything you see on cherry picked carefully edited yt vids! Can you say 0-V-E-R-A-T-E-D!! An uncle did a staff course in Paris in the mid 80s and his instructor was a Yugoslav ex FFL officer why freely admitted their training, equipment and doctrine were crap-in his own words due to the fact the FFL was always a an expendable merc colonial type police force of non Frenchmen .
It seems nothing has changed as ex legionnaire explains .
As I said, the training is abysmal. A good 40% of the guys in my training company were unable to shoot a rifle properly, and the famed “Esprit de Corps” was virtually non-existent
https://www.reddit.com/r/FrenchForeignLegion/comments/8j1qz1/the_grim_reality_of_the_french_foreign_legion/

Oh, and if you’re Black, just forget it. The racism is ridiculous and as a black man, you will be ostracised and probably beaten. I will never forget the night all the NCO’s came to our room in the training block and beat the everloving crap out of one of the recruits from Senegal just because he was seen talking to a white girl on one of the rare times we were allowed out of camp.
Wait! There's more!
The officers are shit. There is simply no other word for it. They are disinterested at best and downright hostile towards those under their command at worst. In my entire time there I met one officer that I would consider competent and worthy of a leadership position. Every other officer was awful.
Basically,it exists to fight half arsed militia/rebel forces in places like Chad/Congo and/or Cote de Ivoire. Against a supposedly peer force like the Royal Marine Commandos or USMC they wouldn't last 10 mns!! When your enemies are these Ivoirienne rebels and you're the 2nd REI in theatre ofc you'll look good! Here's the 2 REP Kolwezi,1979.

Their so called specops obviously can't be mentioned in the same breath as SEALS,Spetz or SAS. Also the constant brutality in place of proper training causes a very high desertion rate some say is the highest in any Western world unit. IIRC there's a saying if you haven't deserted at least once, you're not a legionnaire!

lol, just saw a guy in that video , supposedly a special force, firing his rifle while laying down in dirt shirtless, imagine if that was a Nigeria soldiers, rumor will go around saying they no longer have uniforms lol, or some will just call it downright unprofessional .

Usual spill from a civilian who knows nothing about the military bureaucracy. A full scale attack on Nigeria delta militants will have them silenced. They have been hiding under the cover of innocent civilians and their community has been protecting them.

Not minding this, the useless media will paint the military bad and this is what MOD has been avoiding.

I don't understand why you will waste a response on unpatriotic lunatics,

Guys something happened today in my area, I saw people lining up enmeass, upon enquiry on what's going on, I was told that the FG is sharing the Abacha loot to the masses(N10,000). I was gobsmacked, the first thing that came to mind was, is this not the country in which her military is literally begging for money to fund the war against insurgency? It then occured to me that the FG is not serious in this fight wallahi. It is shameful even to conduct enlistment some arm of service are finding it difficult because of paucity of funds, yet we can't set our priorities right.
The Swizz government released that money with a caveat that it must be spent on a world bank supervised project, except you can prove that the world bank is funding COIN then your concern is immaterial.
The world bank assisted social intervention program was expanded with Trader moni in fulfilment of that agreement.
Divert it and you won't get a kobo.

It will be good if we get our facts right. The senate lamented because the process didnt follow due proess/ legislative approval, which is very unconstitutional.
The excess crude account where the money was sourced from is unconstitutional though it exist, there is no legality when dealing with an illegality.

Well I can't verify any of your sources, who of is really knows about the qualities and inadequaties of the FFL - but I acknowledge it. Actually I just posted the video for ur e-n-t-e-r-t-a-i-n-m-e-n-t. wink And of course the FFL SF Battalion is not known among the best in the western (NATO) Armies - but their equipment and tactics still look fine. By reading the statements about the officers from the Reddit source I judt learned that life in the FFL is not much different from the NA. tongue

Guys, me I blame CAS for this accident. What was he thinking trying to show off NAF's capabilities, when NAF is at war on several complicated fronts, with very few platforms available.
If aerobatics interests him, he should make available platforms and units for aerobatics. Not canibalize the limited capacity of a fighting force needlessly put on a shoestring budget.

If the CAS was optimally resourceful, NAF should at least possess a wing of Alpha jets and a wing of F7s. With no additional funding.

The Pakistanis have retired and upgraded all their F7s. This gives you about a hundred planes and parts which they are ready to sell at "fly away" prices.

The alpha jets were bought up by private enthusiasts e.g John Travolta. When they were retired from Franco German fleets.

We could continue to ramp up numbers and parts from these sources.
Sorry sir, but Wiki puts them as second largest fleet operator with over 100 frames in 2017
