There's no fight my brother.

The stake is simple: Go with an Igbo VP, or go without the Igbos at all.

And, to burst your little burble, the number of registered voters in the south east is NOT the true reflection of the Igbo voting population. There is a vastly significant igbo voting population in ALL regions of the country. For starters, I've not voted in the south east since 2003.

Finally, your logic is both FLAWED and DISHONEST. Your definition of fairness is to get rewarded this year with a VP slot because you lost the party chairmanship slot last year. That's very silly. And I'm being nice here.

FYI, Ekwueme was schemed out during the PDP presidential primary of 1999 to make way for Obasanjo. Yet that did not make igbos to betray the PDP even once since the last 20 years. That's unlike what your people did to PDP in 2015 and are already scheming to do again in 2019 just because you lost chairmanship last year. Who does that? How about aiming for senate presidency? You guys have had the presidency for 8 year and the VP (in APC) for 4 years, while the Igbos have had neither.

Don't you see how dumb it sounds to stand there and try to pontificate about fairness to the igbos when you are the aggressor and the insensitive one here?

I’ve told you the stand, the choice is for Atiku to make.

The yorubas in PDP will be asked by their people what is in it for them in PDP like they rightly asked PDP in 2015 and they made their choice.

We don’t foolishly follow party here..it’s all about how do we benefit from the party

We will vote for a party that adequately cater for our interest like we did in 2015 when Jonathan disconnected himself from the SW: No Apology

Stop shouting ! The VP of PDP is open to everyone in the South that is qualified just like the PDP chairmanship was not micro zone to any region in the south but thrown up.

If you see justice on Uche being the PDP chairman and another Obi the VP of PDP, then we will see how heavy Atiku defeat will come.

They warned you people to leave the chairmanship of PDP to the sw so you will not be fighting like this but your usual lack of foresight will never allow you to see the bigger picture.

Now Atiku and his handlers are looking and mindful of these figures
Yet in 2015, APC won SW with 500k while PDP won Anambra with 600k. Again, you failed to separate how many Igbos are in SW and how many of those in SW would vote for PDP. We know that 95% of SE would vote for PDP.

Chairman, VP you guys ain't taking. You abandoned PDP when it mattered.

Yea, I guess Yoruba interest is the only valid interest, right? Igbos should not have any interest or you'd tag them as being "unfair", right?

Well, if PDP knows its history it'd know that it has gone successfully a few times (like in 1999) without a yoruba block vote. But let them piss the igbos off this time, and let's see how it ends.

And, talking about what's in it for the yorubas, there are more than one incentives:

1) The restructuring agenda (which APC cannot fulfil for them).

2) The Senate presidency.

If those two incentives are not enough, then you're definitely not ready.

In fact, even with a VP slot, you guys will still not vote PDP overwhelmingly just like you did in 1999.

To cap it all, you have MULTIPLE contestants in various parties. So your votes will be shared regardless of if you are given a PDP VP slot.

I think the real naive person here is the one who thinks that waiting patiently for another 8 years would entitle him to a presidential slot.

That's despite the fact that he has been waiting since since 1999, and 20 years down the line he is still getting told to forget about the VP slot and hand it over to the group that had already got 8 year of presidency and another 4 years of VP.

If agreeing to the above is not naive, I don't know what else is.

@UcheSecondus, congrats on your totally glorious convention that was just concluded.

I will keep this very simple: If you field someone else from another ethnic group- as the VP - PDP will simply kiss permanent goodbye to igbo votes all over Nigeria (not just in SE).

Since the last 20 years or so, the Yorubas have held the presidency for 8 years (in PDP) and the VP for 4 years (in APC). On the flip side, the igbos have not held either of the two positions in any party in Nigeria's recent history. Yet, the igbos have been the most loyal supporters of PDP.

On the other hand, most of the Yorubas (not all) openly rejected and sold out PDP in 2015 (a party that gave them 8 years of presidency not long ago) just because they were offered the VP slot on a new party with an obviously unqualified presidential candidate. They literally threw the PDP under the bus with total disregard for national interest.

Now, these same people are clamoring to grab the new VP slot in PDP - a slot that obviously should go to the igbos.

Since 1999 the igbos have remained faithful to PDP all through. Just name it, OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ - Igbos supported all of them whole heatedly without having a shot at the VP slot. The Yorubas should do the same. Now is the time. And it's clear to every sane mind.

In simple terns, no sane person would reward disloyalty and punish loyalty. But that's exactly what you'd be doing if you fall for the antics, and deny the igbos the VP slot. DO NOT TAKE THE IGBOS FOR GRANTED EVEN FOR ANOTHER SPLIT SECOND.

If fielding an igbo VP would make Atiku lose the election, then IPOB is 100% justified.

Igbos are watching so keenly.

If the PDP VP slot goes to the Yorubas this time, then the Igbos would make sure that APC stays in power indefinitely. It's PDP's job to see to it that the Igbos do not only get the VP slot this time, but you should also ensure that an Igbo president takes over from Atiku immediately after his full tenure.

Your move. Very naive. We are thinking on how to grow Nigeria and you are here talking igbo vp. What of if the vp slot goes to SE and you lose the election, of what importance will that be to you and the SE. Just listen to your self, after vp Igbo president takes over from atiku. Does it means votes will no longer count.

There is no need for rancour here. The SW should concede the VP position to the SE for fairness and equity. This is the same reason Buhari has outlived his usefulness. Failure to include. Osinbanjo is still politically relevant. He can be fielded by the APC against Atiku's VP in 2027.

So since you contested the chairmanship, then there is no need asking that the VP slot should be handed over you.

If you think Gbenga Daniel and his people will just give it to you after piloting the emergent of Atiku as the DG of his campaign, then you are joking.

Let Ekweremadu and your Igbo delegates go and meet Saraki and Tambuwal for their VP

If Atiku gives the VP to the SW, he would lose to Buhari. He needs to court the SE where PDP support is strongest. Gbenga Daniels did not win the primaries for Atiku. SE delegates did!

Who VP epp? I need restructuring. What SE governors need to do if they're serious is negotiate some long term issues with Atiku that will be visible for future generations to see. If Atiku promises to build a railway line from Onitsha-Okigwe-Aba-Afikpo line o Aba, , I will bet that Buhari won't be able to secure 25% of the votes in the SE

OGB is a never a threat to us. Our position is simple, give SW the VP and we shall PDP for Atiku to eat. We are not begging for it and we are not fighting anybody for it.

SW has no PDP Governor in 2019, no grassroot structure and are not spread out in Nigeria like SE.

The North is not better off than the rest of the country even though they held power more ....

The Igbos don't need the presidency to succede
They just need a level playing field for all .. Justice and fairness... This is not obtainable under the current administration...

Removing the dullard from office is a task that must be achieved by well meaning citizens

And if sacrificing a mere VP office to sw will increase the chances of that happening.. I say why not..
