No group of people in Nigeria can be more Satanic than members and sympathisers of PDP. Bribing delegates with amount of money ranging from 1000 dollars to 10,000 dollars just to serve your country! Who bribes the citizens with that kind of money in order to serve them?
And that's just at the party primary level. How much will he spend during the final election? What will he bring to table? Looting, massive looting! No be PDP?
Mƴ frienɗ, Nigeria is not yet ready for a renaissance...corruption is the king in almost every home. For that reason, stop ɓeing an idealist for a second anɗ get real here. We will neeɗ a thief to chase out a corrupt, nepotist and dictatorial government such as this. May ɓe, we will also require a more morally ɓereft fellow to chase out the thief when the time comes....untill this generation goes moriɓound.

To give this people a very good fight, the vp must come from the SW. (I am not from there)

The target is to send this satanic bunch out of Nigeria. Simple.

I totally agree bt it cant be just anyone. It must be someone with a track record and influence. Osibanjo had influence on both Yorubas and Christians. All these SE names are still not it and have one political comma over them. Nobody of value in the sw besides Adesina?

•To decide on zoning of position between South-west and South-east tomorrow
•Age, knowledge of economy key criterion for nomination

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has begun earnest search for his running mate as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline for the submission of names of parties’ candidate expires on Monday.

By the 1999 Constitution as amended and the Electoral Act 2010 as amended, no candidature is complete without a running mate.
THISDAY sources close to the Atiku camp said at least three technocrats and two politicians have been penciled down for the position.

The technocrats are, former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Charles Soludo; former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina; and former Managing Director of Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), Mr. Chike Obi.

The politicians being considered for the number two position are, former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, and the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

According to a source, the candidate and the PDP hierarchy are still undecided on the zone the position should be allotted. But he said the scope had been narrowed down to the South-west and the South-east.

“We would have to weigh the electoral value of both zones and decide where we would allot it,” the source said, explaining that there was the need to maintain a balance between the existing political configuration, which requires the party to challenge the dominance of the APC in the high voting South-west by picking a running mate that would challenge the electoral advantage of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; and the need to retain the loyalty of the South-east that had remained a PDP stronghold.

Both zones were believed to have helped Atiku to neutralise the Northern zones’ delegates’ votes that went to Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal during the presidential primary on Saturday.

A source told THISDAY that the matter would be trashed out tomorrow at a meeting of the presidential candidate with the party hierarchy.
Apart from zoning, Atiku is also said to be considering age and knowledge of the economy and economics as two major criterions for the selection of the running mate.

According to a source, the presidential candidate thinks his running mate has to be a much younger person as a strategy to appeal to the army of youths, which is already up in arms against the old brigade.

Atiku is, however, said to be insisting that such a young man must also have deep knowledge of the economy as his focus is on the revival of the economy to create jobs for the teaming unemployed population.

“His challenge, therefore, is how to strike the balance between getting a youthful running mate and an economy savvy candidate. Both must be rolled into one,” a source said, explain that this might have informed the short list that was revealed to THISDAY.

we dont need an igbo vp. Give tgat slot to the west. You know these westerners are heavily partisan and tribalistic so give them vp so theyd sheepishly not go and divide votes for atiku. Theyd rather vote a goat thats useless than vote a progressive thats not from their region. We need landslide victory over the lifeless dullard..

Mehn! I never supported Atiku but his strategy is overwhelming. Even though I am Igbo, I will love him to settle for Adesina. He has a good mindset of what the Economy should be like and how to track it to perfection. But, my Igbo brothers wouldn't find it funny at all, as it will be seen as marginalization of the Igbo tribes.

The best option if he wants to win the hearts of the Igbos should be Peter Obi. He did justice to Anambra during his governance. He paved way for industrialization and good structures before Willie took over.

Soludo, he is a professor in Economics but was among those that ruined this economy. I once see him as a mentor but not anymore. I respect likes of Okonji-iwuala and Femi Adesina.

You mean Akinwumi Adesina?
I still think he should pick from the SE,the SW votes will always be divided due to the APC hierarchy..

Choose a SW VP and see Igbos boycotting the election. We rather continue with Restructuring or Bia.fra than vote for PDP without a SE VP

This bubble, no doubt will burst in 2019.

2019 is the final battle to liberate Nigeria from ultra corrupt politicians (imagine Atiku/Ekweremandu for a second!) spearheaded by Atiku, IBB, OBJ, Saraki and their supporters.

2019 is surely a battle between those who genuinely seek Nigeria's progress and those who want to return us to the dark days of corruption which witnessed wanton stealing of our common wealth.

One thing I am very sure of is that we still have more sane Nigerians than insane ones. The insane ones are louder though but we shall see.
or rather 2019 to you is the battle to continue ur BMC job? Nigerians are wiser,2015 to 2019 have been the worst period of Nigeria

why did you not pick your APC VP from the southeast when you were sure the southwest was already for APC? Very greedy set of people. Like play, like play, you will even suggest apga also field a southwest presidential candidate.
Yoruba already have Osibanjo as vp and Sowore as presidential candidates let them vote for them and leave PDP alone

This a big dilemma for Atiku..
That's why unity must be Paramount in this country..
Some people are already saying if he doesn't pick from SE,he will fail..
We don't need all of that!
2015-2019 should be in our history book as the worst government ever,if we don't come out and exercise our franchise regardless of SE or SW VP,then we should be ready for another hell..

You will always remain slaves in this country. If Atiku picks an IPod as VP, he is a goner because we can never vote for an ipod-tainted presidency as widely canvassed by Ojukwu the fugitive in 1993 when iPods voted for NRC at the expense of MKO, a southern aspirant. You will never get to Aso rock again.
