These analogue politicians are all the same. We don't need to support them as they have turned Nigeria politics to clique thing. We need to support young people now. What was Atiku's achievement with Obasanjo? |

Donbrig:Atiku doesn't even need the southwest. Picking from the southeast will also get him south south. A combination of southeast and south south will make up for whatever loss from the southwest. Picking from southwest means there will be low voter turnout in the south east and south south and he would also drag southwest votes with Buhari. |

I get angry knowing that some people forced this Dillard on Nigerians just to ruin the good works of PDP thereby enabling highwired rape and robbery of the common purse. Lifeless threw the economy recession with just one policy: TSA He wasn't the originator. PDP was. It was not a punishment tool to get at people like Atiku. No . It was a financial leakage management policy . But lifeless came in and weaponised it. The entire west was experiencing economic meltdown that demanded that they recall some of their foreign investment to support a reinflation of their home economy. While these guys were pulling out their finances from Nigerian banks , lifeless was ordering the same banks to transfer all government deposit back to CBN. By the time the venture capitalists pulled out their funds and government took out theie deposit , the banks has no choice but to go after loans defaulter like the oil marketing companies and carry out massive retrenchment. The rest is history. That was the genesis is our recession eleojo23: |

My educated friends abroad will laugh at me if I vote an uneducated guy to rule over à nation. Just like Donald Trump, Atiku may not be the best, but his strive in business means he can move the economy forward. Trump is not à great guy in many areas but he was successful in business and American economy is in progress (lowest unemployment rate in the last 47years). |

| Re: Nigeria Needs A President Who Understands Economy – Obasanjo by COMPAQ(m): 4:43pm On Oct 10, 2018 |
Themandator:Though Buhari caused the recession, it wasn't caused by TSA. It was due to his stance on forex when the oil price fell. Instead of allowing the naira to devalue, he tried to protect it by restricting supply from CBN, banning products from accessing forex and keep portfolio investors from repatriating their money which caused a spiral effect on the black market rate, caused slowdown in production due to unavailability of forex for critical raw materials etc. Not TSA!!! |

cutechioma1:The thing is though that neither of them managed anything! The increase in cost of living is due to higher exchange rate since we are an import dependent economy, which was caused by reduction in crude prices (and therefore reserves) which is not really in the governments control. |

Obasanjo, including you? see a man who had handled this country for over eleven years. As military head of state for over 3 years and as civilian President for 8 years he should let us know how much of the economy he was able to understand . especially in the 16 billion dollar power project with no traceable results .However he boasted that at least he was able to create at least 25 billionaires including the richest woman in West Africa Mrs Alakija inclusive and like Atiku and Ibrahim and Ibrahim Babangida he too was able to own a private Univesity aside from several billion Naira poultry farms imagine both former heads of state and a custom officer owning individual private universities |

COMPAQ:Alright. I give it to you but forex and naira devaluation or defence didn't shut down Onne. TSA did. It was when the government insisted that all revenue with government share must first come into the single account that Onne was shut. While Intel argued that it had an a written agreement with government and the banks and had been fulfilling it government said they wanted the revenues first in total and then would work out the part that would go to intel, frommwhich they were Sette there bank obligations. That was hhow over fifty companies got grounded Forex is not the reason tank farms retrenched more than 80 percent of their staff strength. TSA and government refusal to offset it indebtedness to them causes it. I do business with depots so I know in practical terms why they haven't been able to bring in products and many have removed under locks and keys. Government owes the depots who in turn owes the banks . Government goes the banks to ask for transfer of their deposit back to CBN. The comply . This affects their liquidity, the in turn approach the depots to make good their indebtedness even though they know where the money is. Depots can't meet the obligation. Receivers are pointed to take over the Depot facility , stafdare sent home. One just happened last month again In just Calabar alone there over 20 depots but not to five today is doing real business. Many have remained shut since last year |

The former president is always talking... He is opinionated. However, what I can observe from him is that he'll never allow his former VP get to Aso Rock.
