Atiku has again cleared the air on his failure to secure a U.S visa which has been ascribed to an alleged criminal record.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has again addressed the biting issue of his inability to visit the United States of America due to alleged corrupt practices.

The presidential candidate of the main opposition party in Nigeria, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, speaking through the spokesman of the Atiku Campaign Organization, Segun Sowunmi during the TVC Breakfast show today explained there is no case of corruption against him in the US

Sowunmi described Atiku’s challenge in securing a U.S visa as a mere ‘administrative issue’.

Sowunmi went further to explain that the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi was also unable to travel to the U.S just like Atiku but the issue was later resolved after he assumed power in his country.

“I want to remind them (Atiku’s critics) that the present Prime Minister of India hitherto had some of these challenges. For some reasons, the administrative provisions didn’t give him a visa to go to America but when he became the Prime Minister of his country, the sovereignity of the nation was respected,” he stated.

He went further to emphasize that the U.S has no criminal record against his principal and this accounts for the failure of the US and Nigeria to prosecute him so far.

“I can tell you for free that the United States of America has no criminal proceeding, or no indictment, or no corruption-related issue around His Excellency Atiku Abubakar,” he added.

Sowunmi stated that the U.S would have demanded the extradiction of Atiku from the Nigerian government through the Extradition Treaty it signed with Nigeria if he had a criminal case to answer.

Hillary Clinton was supported on the internet but lost the real election.

Atiku is worst than Buhari and he has little popularity in North so he can never win the election.

The US homeland security report indicting Atiku was titled KEEPING FOREIGN CORRUPTION OUT OF UNITED STATES and Atiku was one of the corrupt case studies.

In essence the report when it says keeping foreign corruption out of USA implied also keeping the embodiments of corruption and not just the proceeds out of USA.

This Is why Atiku can never step foot in USA. He has been blacklisted as very corrupt and a thief who looted from Nigeria between 2000 and 2008 while he was VP under obasanjo from 1999 to 2007. Notice the dates? He began syphoning monies to USA one year after he became VP and stopped one year after he was no longer VP.

frankly i do not understand Nigerians, is it only Atiku and Buhari that are presidential candidates? To me both of them are not qualified to lead nigeria. whats all these noise about getting PVC only to vote out one problem and vote in another. please there are other credible people running for the office, ignore the Atiku hype he is not qualified to lead nigeria and will still fail. i guess in our desperation to get rid of this current evil government by any means Nigerians will do anything goes but we should be careful, what happened in 2015 should be a reminder. Nigerians were so fed up with Jonathan that they threw caution to the wind and invited a monster.

Atiku doesn't have a green card , he has never applied for green card , he was with a diplomatic passport the last time he visited the U.S. and after he left as VP the US for some administrative reason have refused to issue him a VISA ... Atiku has applied for US visa 6 times and all 6 times he has been turned down for being a politically exposed person with a no entry flag to his name but all that will be cleared once we elect him
