Congrats to all new mommies! God bless these precious ones. Pls oh dark complexion mamas what is the best kinda natural scrub to use to brighten the face. I'm battling acne blackheads and generally rough and dull skin. Please I need something natural and easily assesible I can use. Suggestions for soaps and creams too please. Thanks a bunch!
apply lemon juice on face once daily wash off while bathing
For scrub, i use lemon juice mixed with baking powder and sugar into a paste to scrub once a week
Gently clean your face with cotton wool dipped in coconut oil at bedtime
I use black soap although I mix it with coconut water and honey. Aloevera juice is good too
For cream DH7 complexion milk
Note: I have 2 coconut and 3 lemon trees in my compound that make it easy for me though cheesy

Hello mums. My 9 month old baby suddenly does not like taking her formula. She struggles to finish 120 or 150 mls. We started on Nan, then changed to SMA but she still will just play with it. She's not a particularly good eater with cereals and other meals. Any ideas on getting her to drink milk will be appreciated. Many thanks!

My 9 months doesn't even drink formula at all.In fact he doesn't feed from the bottle . So I mix d formula with his cereals. He is still on breast milk.
Try to mix with her cereals, you might increase the quantity.

God save us o. Thanks so much I have taken him to hospital. The boy is doing better now.
greatp80:

My dear please take the baby to see a pead.
Please if d in law fed him without your consent, warn her seriously not to try dat again.
To carry belle and deliver is not moi-moi.

Am so angry now typing this because,d same thing happened to me just recently. My son just recovered from the hands of my over zealous in law.

Since I stopped ebf for my son when he clocked 6 months. My in law will not stop bordering me to introduce adult food to him.I replied that I introduce foods to my kids gradually, not a sudden process.
Just last week,my son started purging and vomitting.
I was so confused what might have triggered d whole thing.
We went to hospital, he was given loads of drugs, yet d thing continued. My baby was just loosing weight.
My house help now informed me that my in law normally takes him inside the room anytime he is eating his concoction and feeds him with that rubbish.
I was angry. I warned my girl that nobody should carry my baby again only her,in my absence.

How can someone be feeding someone's baby without taking permission from the mother. How sterilised are d cutlery used and how hygienic is the stuff you are feeding the baby.
May God help someone from all these overzealous in laws.
Sorry for my rants bikonu.
I was so pained.

Thank you mama. I have taken him to hospital. He is better now
JGracious:

Forcefully On what grounds? Without your consent??
Don't leave your baby with anyone without leaving specific instructions on how he should be looked after.
Those kind of SIL's will be the type that would put tribal mark on a child before the mother arrives.

Go to the hospital to have him checked although I'm quite sure the poo consistency and color will be restored to normal.

cheers

Hello Onegai, are you referring to the immunization(N28,500) given to a 2year olds?

No dear, this is MMR and Chicken Pox vaccines. Before 2 years. Private hospitals tend to jack up prices on vaccines they know Govt isn't giving out (this includes Rotavirus and MengC). They have to make money somehow so I can't really blame them.

Break out the amala!! Seriously. My child had this issue and we were struggling with cereals. Some kids hate the taste of cereals and formula after a while. My nieces was delighted with Ogbono soup at 8 months

Claseek, dodo/fried plantain is very suitable. Just remove the hard bits at the edges.

My children don't like fried plantain. Like, they actually dislike it, with extreme prejudice.

So we're getting them DNA-tested because no child of mine hates dodo. These must be some white kids that got switched at birth for my babies. That's the only explanation for this calamity.
