Nigeria is not only cursed, it can't work. Even if you bring the best leaders in the world to run Nigeria, it still won't get better. For a country to work, it must be populated by people who have a common destiny and unity of purpose. Nigeria where the 3 major tribes are at each other's throat all the time? Not possible

Dubai is populated by people with unity of purpose, that's why the have used their Oil wealth to transform their land into paradise
forget one nigeria, the differnce between an hausa igbo yoruba is just toomuch that we can never unite, the worst part is that we are sweeping it under the carpet, yet if we dont spill bloods in our generation out children will spill it in their own becus we have to agree and sign to live under one roof b4 anything works

When I read people talking about buhari and atiku, I wonder what the future holds for this Nation.

ipob holds the key to our problems thats if we support them becus they are not fighting for baifrans alone, they are fighting for all the suffering masses in this expirement that can never work called nigeria
You see one of them?? IBOP?? Are you senile at all?

Woke up this morning in my hotel/apartment in dubai looking out the window with a heavy heart. And I ask myself if Nigeria is cursed.

Each time I visit I ask myself if the oil that built this country is different from the oil we export.

I don't know if it's the citizens that are cursed or the leaders or everyone.

How citizens look at people that destroyed Nigeria over 30 years ago, and give them a chance to come and destroy it further after .

As if we are not tired of destruction, we still think of ways to re-elect failure.

Does any of these old politicians that watched Nigeria become a gutter to look like they can transform this Nation to look like dubai?

Maybe this picture will motivate and inspire you to think beyond your stomach and small money that influence your choices.
Citizens are even worse. Yea government and political class are bad, but the level of curription in ministries is terrible. An average Nigerian wants sabotage the Nigerian project.

That's the point i am making.
The mental faculty of the average African needs overhauling.
Those of Nigerians deserves a state of emergency.

But a good leader can change everything. It took a good leader to change malaysia and other countries.

Good leaders do not germinate from the ground.
They emerge from a people who are ready for mindset reorientation and modification.

Africa is very far from reality.
Just see how tribe and religion are playing major roles in whom will rule Nigeria instead of competence and vision.

It is very unfortunate. Maybe if Nigeria was divided regionally, decision making could be easier.

Divide Nigeria or not, if the mentality of the people do not change, there will be no difference.

We are the product of our thoughts....
The thought pattern of average African is bizarre

For example, have you seen the fight in the South East over the choice of the Running Mate to Atiku?

The fight is not about the competence of the Obi character but that the whole region were not consulted before the choice was made.

Thats the African for you.

See, darkness is laughing at the black race.

I am saying maybe one region or side can get it right, rather than failing as a Nation.

But the population of those suffering the consequences of the incompetent leaders that emerge are far more than those that sponsor them to power.
Even those suffering aren't different from the leaders.

This is one of the educative thread on nairaland, i would want us to keep this thread alive and continue to discuss the way out for our country to progress.
Personally, with the look of things presently, Nigeria has no future.

It is not just Nigeria darkness is feasting on the poor mental capacities of the Africans.

The Leaders and the Peoples are all the same.

Africans are not looking for competent people to lead them: They are looking for "our man" to beat 'their man"

The current Epitome of Failure occupying the seat of power cannot make himself president without the help of many people.

How did a 70 year old man with questionable ethics emerge the flag bearer of the PDP?

He could never have done that without the help of people.

Are you not aware that Paul Biya of Cameroon is seeking for the 7th term I'm Office?

That is African Democracy for you.

If there is a curse, only Africans can break it by thinking right.
I submit to you an opinion that the black race is CURSED. This explains why the continent is bedevilled by so many problems?! Jesus is the only person that can break the curse (if indeed black Africans are a cursed people) so call on Jesus now.
