BREAKING: Boko Haram Executes Aid Worker Hauwa Liman The insurgents have also vowed to keep Dapchi school girl Leah Sharibu as a slave for life. BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKOCT 15, 2018 The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram, has executed Hauwa Liman, an aide worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). According to TheCable, the insurgents have also vowed to keep Dapchi schoogirl Leah Sharibu as a slave for life. Liman's killing was done spite of a last-minute passionate appeal by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) "to the Nigerian Government and to communities and individuals with influence to work toward the release of two committed medical workers abducted in north-eastern Nigeria earlier this year". SEE ALSO ‘Boko Haram Have Given Us Their Last Warning’ — Nurses Abducted In Rann Beg Buhari For Help 1 Comment 1 Month Ago She was forced to kneel down, with her hands tied inside a white hijab, and then shot at a close range. In a short statement, ISWAP said: “We have kept our word exactly as we said, by killing another humanitarian worker, Hauwa Leman, who is working with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that were abducted during a raid on a military facility in Rann, Kala Balge in March 2018. “Saifura and Hauwa were killed because they are considered as Murtads (apostates) by the group because they were once Muslims that have abandoned their Islam, the moment they chose to work with the Red Cross, and for us, there is no difference between Red Cross and UNICEF. SEE ALSO Boko Haram Kills One Of Three Health Workers Abducted In Borno 4 Comments 4 Weeks Ago “If we see them, we will kill the apostates among them, men or women, and chose to kill or keep the infidels as slaves, men or women.” The 24-year-old nurse and student of Health Education at the University of Maiduguri was among the three aid workers abducted by the insurgents in an attack on a heavily-guarded military facility in the small town of Rann, Borno State on March 1, 2018. Aside Liman, the insurgents also abducted Alice Loksha Ngaddah, a nurse and mother of two, and Saifura Husseini Ahmed, a midwife. They killed four soldiers and four policemen as well. Ngaddah’s aged mother died unexpectedly in April as a result of the trauma of her daughter’s abduction, while Saifura was killed in September. After killing Liman, ISWAP said Ngaddah, a Christian who works with UNICEF, will be kept as a slave, just like Leah Sharibu. “From today, Sharibu and Ngaddah are now our slaves," it said. “Based on our doctrines, it is now lawful for us to do whatever we want to do with them."

BabaOwen:True ! Gaid salah the Chief of Staff have 78 years old The generation of resistants who fought french in 1954 - 1962 war and get the independance have the control of the country since 1962 , so old men control algeria in all fields and only death can make them retire . exemple check our disabled old president 81 years old , he cant even talk and still want to stay president . But the new generations get there chance lately . get promotions , there is a lot of young generals . So im sur this problem that we have in algeria will be solved only by time . |

Algerian1: The government should just put the retirement age between 60-65 for the new generals. You guys are gonna have a lot of Generals serving in the military, since most of them are not ready to retire unless death retires them ![]() |

Her death is sad, but stop the ignorance about some perfect country, show me a perfect country where people aren't kidnapped or killed. What do you want the Govt to do? Negotiate with BH to free terrorists or pay them money to release her? How many people will then be killed afterwards? All BH have to do after that is simply rinse and repeat. This is war, it's sad, but this happens BabaOwen: |

Gentlemen I think the Dundees in high places needs to wear their belts on their stomachs! How long will Boko "threaten" us? The military need to start preparing repercussion packages for Iswap/BH after any atrocity they commit! examples; 1)Death sentences on the demonic thugs we have in custody 2) Air Strikes & Artillery Barrages 3) SF sting missions If possible all 3-in-1, they like dirt? well let's give them slurry! RIP to the dead, God save the captive. |

Right? When something like that happen, you show strength, not weakness, unleash hell on them, next time they think about doing the same, the response of the Nigerian Govt would be on their mind, but when you have leaders acting all lukewarm about things, well, stuff will happen. The idea is, never get caught by BH as a civilian, rarely ends well. Odunayaw: |

1 BabaOwen:THE BASTARDS EXECUTED THIS GIRL FOR HER CHRISTIAN FAITH. WHY IS THIS NOT INNTHE NEWS? There are times I honestly believe this nation is cursed. Its really hard to stay patriotic sometimes. The government don't seem to care. Nigeria has to be one of the easiest place to die. The death of Liman should put the nation in mourning. The flag should be flown at half mast and Lima should be considered a National Hero. Nobody gives a Bleep !! I prayed for her last night. The government is more focused on election campaign. I cannot imagine the magnitude of grief that her family will be going through. Rest in peace Lima. |

There are two missing ingredients among other things, in making a great nation. The people And the media. If those in the media are clueless and not persistent in their duties, a lot of stuff will go unnoticed. If citizens roll their eyes when talking about corrupt leaders and do nothing about it, e.g holding them accountable, protests, lawsuits etc, in an unrelenting manner then those leaders will simply continue with their impunity. If we are waiting on leaders to be good on their own terms, we will still be in this sad state for another 200 yrs. We are fast to lace a poor guy for stealing 5 naira, but bow to a thief with police escort while carting away 50 million naira, ain't that weird DDGN: |

Sizzorkay:Yes, I want the government to negotiate with terrorist and if possible pay them money to release her. So if it was buhari or osinbanjo daughter that was kidnapped, the government won't pay for her to be released? Nigerians will always find an excuse for everything, why can't Nigeria be as peaceful as Senegal, Benin republic, Namibia,Botswana etc they will always find a stupid excuse to give about how it's happening in other failed countries like Libya, Yemen etc nonsense ![]() If it was in an European country, the prime minister would have resign,it can't even happen in such countries for terrorist to be operating in their territory.Nigeria is in the league of Somalia and Afghanistan. |

BabaOwen:Honestly we leave in a very complicated society to be governed. It's difficult to make such decisions sometimes. I remember when the first set and other set of chiboks girls where released people/citizens criticized and shouted that they've paid BHT millions for them to have been released. Has if those girls where not human being or because it wasn't there daughters involved. Now the media is even making it worst; because they don't give full details of such stories. These girl was executed because of her faith and BHT vowed not to receive any amount in exchange for her release simply because of her faith. Now people come here and talk what they don't know, do you think the government that negotiated the release of most Chinook girl is just folding her hands doing nothing, there is no perfect country. Quite number of the Chinook girls where executed in horrible ways before there release. the media kept quite How many girls, boys and innocent people have been execute and will be .... ![]() |

REMARKS BY THE COAS ON THE COMMISSIONING OF CYBER OPERATIONS CENTRE OF NACWC ON 15 OCT 18 1. Principal Staff Officers, Officers, Soldiers, members of the Press, Distinguished invited guests, I am delighted today for the occasion of commissioning of the Cyber operations Center of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command. As you are all aware, Cyber-warfare is the fifth domain of warfare after Land, Sea, Air and Space. Therefore, this project would not have come. The need to embark on NA data protection and Information Warfare to curb online radicalization as well as other terrorist activities perpetrated on the internet. 2. The intrinsic features of cyberspace can be easily exploited for information warfare by actors with malicious intent to plant and disseminate fake news and instruct paid users to spread online manipulated content. This is done in order to degrade debates with diverging truths, deceive, distract and misinform public opinion. This can eventually disorient and corroborate a sense of doubt among the public, or shape the opinion of a specific target audience on a certain issue. 3. Hostile actors in cyberspace are also willing and capable of leveraging the variety of tools allowed by computer network operations and computational propaganda to influence public opinion to a degree that old-fashioned Psychology Operations could only dream of. The above statement accurately demonstrates the real threat of information warfare and the need to combat it with use of information knowledge. 4. In view of the aforementioned, and in line with my vision for the NA which is to have Professional Responsive Nigerian Army in the Discharge of its Constitutional Roles, the NA decided to establish the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command to empower the NA with the capabilities to protect our data/network against cyber attacks and hostile elements. The Cyber Operations Centre would also enable robust online presence so as to fight fake news targeted at the Army with counter narratives and cyber operations. Therefore, you must equip yourselves with digital forensics capabilities and be able to handle cases of identity theft and generate immediate incidence response. Furthermore, I encourage you to routinely survey the dark web/darknet and carry out analysis that may help the NA to be proactive in the cyber realm. 5. In recent times, the military has been inundated with several complaints regarding claims bothering on the unprofessional conducts of some of our personnel in the field. Consequently, the Army has taken it upon itself to create an avenue for the public to submit complains and information directly to the appropriate authority without third party interference. The said avenue being an application that will allow users to relay information anonymously to the Nigerian Army. It enables citizens to give timely information to the Army thereby facilitating quick response. Additionally, crimes against the constitution perpetrated by serving personnel can be directly reported to the Army while keeping the person involved abreast with actions taken as regards a submitted complain. The link to the application will be publicly available on the Nigerian Army Facebook page. While the application can be assessed through our website and on apps freely available on various app stores. Users can submit a report as well as attach uploads that will aid the authority in carrying out necessary actions. Although, submitting images or videos is not compulsory, it will however aid the NA in authenticating submitted reports. At this juncture, let me remind us all that these actions are aimed at bolstering interactions with the citizens of Nigeria while making the activities of the Army readily available to them. 6. At this juncture, I commend the staff of the command for setting up the Centre within a record timing. However, bear in mind that this location is only temporary as I have approved the immediate construction of your permanent office complex and accommodation at Nigerian Army Cantonment in Giri. Hence, there is still more work ahead. I hereby charge the Command to endeavour to collaborate with other agencies in the protection of the Nigerian Cyber Space. Focus your attention on protection of NA data space, critical facilities and the prevention of Cyber Terrorism. Finally, I hereby urge the staff of the Command to perform their task with optimum dedication to ensure that our vision for the Command and the Nigerian Army at large is attained. God bless us all. 7. Good luck.

BabaOwen:The moment the victim wasn't rescued within the first 48 hours, I knew the situation has gone beyond anyone's control. Coupled with the fact that no sane Govt will negotiate with the BHT considering how irrational and what would come after the negotiation. A group that cares so much about their PR that they don't leave their dead fighters on the battlefield to control the possible effects, of knowing how many of them were killed by the Nigerian army. You pay them any monies, you open yourself to extortion and the possibility of an increase in attacks from BHT. It's really sad and unfortunate what has happened, but the Govt's hands are tied in this situation. The best solution is to prevent the reoccurrence of things like this. |
