pazienza:Yes, many Yorubas did disdain GEJ and felt marginalized by his government. Yet, GEJ still had a considerable base of Yoruba supporters - probably around 40%. They were hardly bloc opposition to GEJ in the manner Igbos are to Buhari. My point in all this is that we can hardly be surprised that a man we've regarded with undisguised disdain for as long as he has been seeking elective office is not positively predisposed to us. It's human nature. We clearly loathe him, and consequently, he has no reason to favour us in anything and so it will be till we vote him out. This is why we have no future in APC. |

pazienza:Some of you Igbo's are in dire need of a checkup. So Amaechi should prioritise that village airport in Enugu over Port Harcourt's International Airport. Does Enugu even need an airport cos I really doubt if the Air traffic in AIIA is up to the one in Port Harcourt's Airforce base before you compare with the one at Omagwa. It is even shameful you guys are giving credit to Your criminal sister Oduah who constructed a failed project that couldn't last weeks and now want Amaechi to help correct it. Sorry Bruh, but you guys have to wait till we have such excess funds cos now funds are limited. |

And to all the Igbo's whose hopes are hinged on Atiku/PDP, watch how woefully Atiku will lose and dash your hopes. Nnamdi KANU has re-appeared just on time to derail Igbo support for Atiku, at least his IPOB madness should resume fullswing. I look forward to Biafra or death slogans again on NL which will serve as a timely reminder to Nigerians that "core" Igbo's are not to be trusted with Nigerian leadership any time soon. |

NNAMDI KANU AND THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS: How did NnamdinKanu enter Israel? Did he enter Israel without a passport? If he did, how did he bypass Israelis security and immigration(which is almost impossible)? If he didnt, then how did he get his passport back, knowing well that his passport was seized by the court? Does it also confirms the rumour that he was illegally adopted by Nigeria Army when his home was invaded? Again how come the service chiefs met with Buhari yesterday and today , Nnamdi kanu suddenly resurface? Can DSS and NIA deny not knowing about his where about all the while? Why will Nigeria's intelligence gathering agencies (DSS, NIA) in connivance with other security agencies "internationally" want to make a mockery of themselves, their profession and this government in order to score cheap points? Even with all the video evidence, the Nigerian army till today still deny invading his home. What happened to justice Binta Nyako's previous trial and harassment of Sen Abaribe and other sureties who stood for Nnamdi Kanu to be granted bail? Was it all politics knowing fully well, they had him in their dungeon? How come all the court trials suddenly died down? My guess is, the federal government had him all the while, they must have finally had a deal with him, after a long appeal and negotiation with him before releasing him. Seeing the momentum AtikulateObi have gathered in the pass few days, releasing NnamdiKanu in a bid that he continues his no referendum no election campaign (but this time from a foreign land) is their masterstroke to weaken PDP's strongest base, which is the southeast. It is also to deceive the gullible who are not capable of critical thinking, that Nnamdi Kanu truly absconded, leaving behind his people to died at the heat of the struggle, a subtle blackmail to paint Nnamdi Kanu a coward and the Biafran struggle a charade. Ironically, in all these desperation, the federal government may be setting itself up for a bigger monster it will confront in the nearer future. The more you look, the less you see. Interesting times ahead. If you know, you know #Peace Copied from facebook |

You are an Ikwerre man and not Igbo so don't think of snatching up Igbo ruling opportunities using your excuse of "I am igbo not core one shah" You're either igbo or you're not and so you can't be in between. Use South South turns and not Igbo turns for leadership. One day, amaechi's cup will full. I don't blame him. I blame the visionless and ball-less things we have as governors and national leaders. Obi1kenobi:Your assertion would make sense if Mazi Kanu was to 'sneak' into Isreal like you're implying and remain incognito! Allowing an escapee facing trial for treason back in a country that still maintains diplomatic relations with Israel to be seen walking about freely on the streets of Jerusalem while snapping pictures with admirers is enough for Nigeria to recall its Ambassador to Israel in protest! Since you imply he 'sneaked out', and the Nigerian gov't knew nothing of it, then we should expect them (the Nigerian gov't) to put in a request for Mazi Kanus' extradition at the earliest opportunity! Since you claim to know more than the rest of us, care to tell us which airline he boarded (and from which country) that took him to Israel? Was he granted the travel visa before boarding the plane or was it given on arrival? Also, which passport was the visa stamped on since the Nigerian gov't seized his passport? Israel is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but to suggest they can treat Mazi Kanu with any more disdain and contempt than the likes of you and Buhari have accorded him is nothing short of a joke taken too far! |

| Re: . by Obi1kenobi(m): 2:10am On Oct 20, 2018 |
Xander85:I'm pretty sure Israel has no extradition treaty with Nigeria for one. Nigeria has only few notable extradition partners, most prominently the US and UK. And it is a one-sided arrangement in which Nigeria does most of the extraditing. And Nigeria themselves have refused to extradite citizens, like the case of Kashamu. Nnamdi Kanu's "crimes" are also not what you'd typically extradite people for. No democracy on earth extradites political dissidents. You extradite terrorists, drug kingpins, fraudsters etc, not political dissidents. I haven't said anything about Israel treating Kanu with "disdain and contempt". I've simply said Kanu is an utter international irrelevance and a charlatan who no one in Israel gives 2 fuccks about. And his moronic antics wearing Jewish garb around and feeding the embarrassing myth about Igbos and Jews is contemptible. I feel embarrassed for him and feel embarrassed at how many Igbo people he brainwashes. I'm Igbo and not a bleeping Jew and I don't care to be a Jew. Inferiority complex is why people claim that nonsense, because they feel they have no history to be proud of, so they adopt an alien culture that seems to have a proud, successful, historic heritage like Jews. Nnamdi Kanu is a jobless charlatan, and a mentally unstable individual unfit to lead any serious movement. I actually had some respect for Uwazuruike. I have none for the jobless charlatan from London. |

HopeAtHand:Hotels around Port Harcourt are full from wall-to-wall during Christmas, why? Because Imo and Abia people are stopping over before driving to their village. Port Harcourt has been the main Igbo stop-off for village, whether from domestic or international, those Lufthansa and Air France flights stopping over from Abuja are the property of the overseas Igbo, they were made for Igbo people, the only reason PH has international flights is because of Igbo people, and these European connect flights don't go to the north so it's very specifically because of Igbo people, and the only other airport in the east that receives international flights is Enugu, surprise, surprise. Ikwerre, Ijo and other people in the east cannot fund Luthansa's and Air Frances extra jet fuel expenses for that short trip, these people have researched the Igbo migration which is one of the biggest and most important in Africa outside of Islamic pilgrimage, they know that Igbo people make up a huge chunk of Abuja / Lagos traffic and they've studied the journey their passengers make after they deplane, they will do this because these companies see huge spikes in revenue on their books every Christmas because of Igbo people. All that needs to happen is rerouting to the closer AIIA and fixing the road and then ndi Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi overseas will join and will stop using Benin-Ore route and good bye PH. That's all. In fact, somebody reading this who has power should go and shop AIIA to France and Germany, since Europeans pull the money and political strings in the end. |

| Re: . by ezeagu(m): 2:55am On Oct 20, 2018 |
Igbo people should demand for 1. The Enugu-Aba / Enugu-Onitsha road to be fixed, and then 2. demand that the Lufthansa and Air France stopover flights heading to the Niger Delta because of Igbo people's village migration be rerouted to AIIA. AIIA can only get a good start with these two things. |
| Re: . by ezeagu(m): 3:00am On Oct 20, 2018 |
Look at the places Lufthansa flies to, major cities, mostly capitals and they still took time to link Abuja with PH, why? Ndi Igbo. This flight should be taken to AIIA.

Hahaha, when people wallow in ignorance it makes me wonder where they are orignated from. That is why Black man by nature can never succeed because naturally he has nothing to offer this planet because he so primitive and divisive even after claiming to embrace civilization. Look at another product of ignorance foolishly telling people where they belong. Ebonyi man quote me anywhere is more Igbo than any Igbo you may doubt it because of the state set back but that is a raw truth. I don't bloody wanna know where you come from but I assure you that come rain come shine Ebonyi has existed far back before anyone in the East, God put them there, their local dialect may differ but the Igbo blood that runs in their veins can never differ. Port Harcourt International Airport is the airhub of SE and SS. The airport has very high traffic. You don't waste money in a place that doesn't have traffic. This is the reason Port Harcourt was chosen to serve the entire SE and SS.

Ndi Igbo are too emotional and sentimental...effects of war. An international airport should be in tbe commercial center of South East, Anambra. Enugu is a retirement and civil servants state. |
| Re: . by OMANBALA1: 7:08am On Oct 20, 2018 |
Peter Obi tried to draw traffic there but it's strategically in the wrong place. The only airport that will be viable in the East is Porthacourt and Umuleri. |

Deputy Senate President feels used and dumped by party • Atiku, Saraki decline comment Saturday Sun gathered that long before PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar returned to the party, himself and Ekweremadu had been meeting over 2019. Slowly, but steadily, a major crisis appears to be brewing in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of next year’s presidential election. The party still appears divided over the choice of its running mate. Saturday Sun however gathered that the cause of the anger and division has nothing to do with the competence of the eventual candidate for the position, former Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi. But sources say it has everything to do with the manner he emerged. This much was confirmed by the Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi, who also doubles as Chairman of the South East Governors’ Forum, who confirmed that South-East leaders were not consulted before the emergence of Obi. “Nobody is against Peter Obi, because he is my friend, competent and you must have seen our pictures together on the social media. We must take decisions against the marginalisation of Ebonyi people because if we have to vote, we must be treated with equity. “Two names of the nominees came from Anambra, two from Abia and one from Enugu, but none came from Ebonyi and Imo. “What is wrong with somebody from Ebonyi and Imo? If you must know, one of the reasons an Ebonyi man is against regions in the country is the fear of further marginalisation. “If Atiku just picked his running mate without people from other regions seeing the list and making choices, there could have been no complaints. I am talking about the South-East people and if six people can come from other regions and take decisions, there must be somebody from the South-East zone. “There is nothing like the South-East governors’ stand on the matter; but we are only saying that when decisions are taken and people from other regions are invited, those from the South-East must be invited,” Umahi said. The raging fire The man at the centre of the fresh crisis, which insiders say was capable of eroding all the gains the party may have recorded so far in its march towards 2019 is the deputy president of the senate, Ike Ekweremadu. Saturday Sun gathered that long before former vice president and PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, returned to the party, himself and Ekweremadu had been meeting over 2019. It was the leaks from one of such meetings that made some of the party leaders at the time to allege that Ekweremadu was scheming to hand over the party to Atiku. But that at every of such meetings, even when Atiku was said to have out rightly offered the deputy senate president the vice presidency slot, Ekweremadu would always insist that he was more interested in what the South-East stand to gain as a bloc from his presidency. Saturday Sun further gathered that it was such talks that culminated in the entire South-East giving bloc votes to Atiku, at the just concluded PDP presidential primary, a development that did go down well with some party leaders in the South-south. “It was a collective decision we took to back Atiku for a number of reasons. One, we had wanted to meet with the South-south to take a common position on that. But one leader in particular treated us as if we didn’t matter. So, when Ekweremadu called us, we met and weighed the options before us based on the offers made by each of the aspirants. “One of the offers that fascinated us most, which is restructuring, was made by Atiku. Then the other was his desire to do just one term so as to enable the South-East field a presidential candidate in 2023. We saw that as a good counter to our opponents, the APC in the South-East, who have been canvassing that a Buhari’s second term was the surest way to Igbo presidency in 2023. “Now, after the primary, we expected Atiku to come back to us, so we can tidy up the details of our understanding, and move on from there. But that did not happen. The next thing we heard was that announcement of a running mate without recourse to us. Nobody is against Peter Obi’s choice, not even Ekweremadu, who has been asking us to take it easy. But that is not how to go about it, unless Atiku thinks himself and Obi can go it alone in the South-East,” one of the party leaders said. How Ekweremadu was used and dumped Insisting that the deputy president of the senate was not fairly treated, one of the party leaders from the South-East further said “No, look at the way they treated Ekweremadu. When all of them left, Ekweremadu remained to fight for the survival of this party. How many of them would have resisted the temptation not to defect in the face of the intimidation, harassment, prosecution and persecution meted out on him? As a person, he had nothing to lose if he had defected then. In fact, he had everything to gain. He probably would have been the senate president because he was offered the slot. “Then, when you people now return, you feel that people, who have held this party to survive, do not matter again simply because you got a presidential ticket. Also, even Saraki knows that if DSP had not been loyal, they would have gotten at him (Saraki) long ago. All the trials Ekweremadu was put through were all because of Saraki. But when it was the turn of Saraki to be there for him, he failed him. And as we speak, how many days is this after the primary? Atiku is yet to call DSP. “You don’t treat a man who has been taking bullets on you people’s behalf like that. Well, I wish them and PDP well, but they should know that action begets reaction and they will pay the price for this mistreatment of people, who have laboured for the party at the toughest time. And if Ekweremadu leaves, we will hold these people responsible” one of the leaders from the South-East told Saturday Sun. Atiku, Saraki keep mum When contacted, spokesman for the Bukola Saraki Campaign Organisation, Mr. Ilemona Onoja, promised to get across, since three days ago. But up till the time of filling this report, he is yet to get back. When called again, he said “Sorry, it took so long. I have been trying to reach my Principal. He travelled abroad; I cannot have this conversation without some sort of clearance. Like Saraki, Atiku’s spokesperson too, Mr. Segun Showunmi has refused to react to the development. For three days too, he remained evasive even when questions were sent to him vide the email to enable him respond. Ekweremadu, not bitter However, another party leader from the South-East revealed that the deputy senate president is not personally bitter over the turn of event. He was only worried that the way the actors were going about it, if not checked, South-East may not be in a position to push through some of the understandings it reached with Atiku before giving him their support, key among which is restructuring and 2023 Igbo presidency project. “I agree with you, they just used and dumped the man. The man has always been faithful in all their deals and arrangements. He will keep to his own side of the bargain, but these people have never kept faith with him. “Personally, I see what they are doing to him as a grand design to destroy him politically. Otherwise, even if Atiku was going to change his mind, he was supposed to carry Ekweremadu and other leaders along. Good enough, Ekweremadu has always insisted he was more interested in restructuring and South-East running for the presidency in 2023. He even joked to Atiku to feel free to pick his running mate from the any part of the north if he felt that would guarantee the PDP victory. “To deliberately avoid him and other party leaders in the East until the Obi’s announcement was made shows it was in bad faith. And to say Saraki was part of the meeting where the decision was made, after promising Ekweremadu to be there for him as he has been there for him, that he would ensure Atiku honours all the agreement he had with him (Ekweremadu) and the Igbo leaders show Saraki too did not value all the sacrifices made by Ekweremadu on his behalf over the years. “Well, I cannot say precisely what Ekweremadu is thinking. But as a politician, he should truly be weighing his options because the way these people have carried on does not hold any promises for him. If we are just preparing for a war and members of our troop are already treating some of us as conquered species, since they believe the war has already been won and lost even before it starts, then, I think there is reason to worry, “the party leader said. Ekweremadu’s aide reacts When contacted, Ekweremadu’s spokesman, Mr. Uche Anichukwu pleaded not to be dragged into the matter. He was however quick to add: “I think the South-East leaders have vented their feelings and there is no ill will towards the person of Peter Obi. The deputy president of the senate is more concerned about the collective interest of the South-East going forward. “You know the deputy president of the senate is one man, who does not always want to rock the boat. But he is a courageous leader too. At the fullest of time, I am sure he will speak up. But you know, he is one man whose political trajectory is directed by God. He is not a desperate person and acts in the collective interest. As for whether he was used and dumped as you said some party leaders allege, he is the only person in a position to say so,” Anichukwu added. https://www.google.com/amp/sunnewsonline.com/aftermath-of-presidential-primary-ekweremadu-mulls-dumping-pdp/amp/

However, AIIA has come to stay at enugu; we Igbos generally are tired of the seeming hatred and pushovers brought in by federal government and Amaechi to use ph airport. And it would be idiocy and nonsensical, if you continue with this divisiveness of 'anambra first, before igbo', in this pan igbo forum.
