Hahahaha, Senator Shehu Sani made a mess of his political career which by all standards, took off on an auspicious start.

He had everything going for him going by his antecedents, but unfortunately, instead of the long standing pillar of positive activism from the North to live up to it and build his political career and what the people expected of him, he rather joined the league of rascals in this unfortunate 8th senate.

He became an infant terrible, scattering what he was elected to build.
Wrongly interpreting power, went on picking fights with the executive governor of his Kaduna state. Thinking he was pinning down the tail of the Tiger, El Rufai, he was carried away by the gouding of the ever complaining minorities of Kaduna, he denied the good people of the state, the well thought out projects of the Governor. He used his powers as a senator to block the progress of his people, instead of helping his people. A very negative way of using power.

But he has been humbled. I will not go into how he failed to read the hand writing on the wall and stayed back in the APC when his cohorts shifted base.

As I respectfully shook hands with the senator at the last convention of the party in Abuja, I could see that he had lost it all. Even as he came in in the company of some fellow party men and women, I saw that he was like an orphan, he was lonely.

A big lesson in how not to play politics.

Confront El Rufai at your own risk; Shehu Sani fought with his governor, romanced with the opposition while working against his own party, including the president; yet he still expects the party to stay loyal to him - he picked a ruthless adversary in El Rufia.
