Just watched Upgrade. I for don watch am since oo but our good people here don almost talk the film finish. Lovely twist though. That dude looks like Tom Hardy.

In movies, we are told that vampires have the power of compulsion and it has also been proven that the brain won't allow death via holding of breath.

What will happen should a vampire compel a victim to stop breathing?

I think what would happen is that the brain would force one to gasp for air but since one is underwater, one will just inhale water and die.

It's not the brain's fault that when it finally makes you breathe, you inhale water into your lungs. The point here is, you can't suffocate yourself by holding your breath.

Yeah, they really look alike and the funny thing is I'd seen the first fight scene after the insertion of STEM on an app (9gag) and thought "Wow, Tom Hardy made this movie while he was younger" till I watched this one and saw it wasn't him.

lack of oxygen to the brain can make a person become unconscious,people who drown become unconscious before their lungs gets filled with water
