I want to renew my Drivers Licence and my contact person said capturing is not COMPULSORY. Pls guys, Is capturing Compulsory? Lemme know if na fake dem wan give me.

The answer is no. Why? Since your bio-data is already online, during renewals you download a form or page of all your infos. During this process, you choose whether to or not to capture. You also choose whether to go for a five years option or the 3 years alternative.
Now the essence of recapturing is to obtain a temporal drivers license (DL) pending the issue of the permanent. For those whose photograph on the expired one isn't good enough, recapture gives you another chance for a better one.

If you do not want to recapture, your online print out (downloaded) form is stapled to your bank payment receipt and a photocopy of the expired one; it is then stamped and signed. That will be your license pending the release of the original copy from Abuja.
