Can anyone on here advise me on how I can get the package cos I can’t afford losing the package

My friend sent me 7 items from the UK and when I got to the post office to collect it, I got only 1 item.

These things are jewelleries that are expensive. The only thing I got is the cheapest of all the things I bought

I have my package in custom processing for over a week now!!! I used usps to ship from the united states but on tuesday i got to pay custom for the package!! And the man told me it has been sent yesterday .he said if it was fedex or ups, i would get my package to day.. please how long does it take for usps!!! Because I'm still tracking and I'm scared!! I paid 70k to custom for this

I had to contact the company and I was told to track my item on nipost again which I did today n it shows it was sent to custom. Please how long does it take to leave custom office ? Will I be charged custom fee for a 12kg dress form and price estimate if you know please ? Or do you think it has already gone straight to the post office ? I have been reading a lot of stories here and I am already at alert to follow up with my package . Thank you and expecting a response . Please guys I haven’t still heard a word or received my package. I keep calling Nipost and they keep giving me the story that customs has so many goods to clear my package has been with them since 11th someone please help me what do I do I don’t want to loose my package it’s extremely important please help let me know what to do

The custom guys are crazy. My cousin was charged 34k custom fees for a 132k phone he bought at Aliexpress. Phone weighed only 700g. They don't charge you based on the weight, but rather on their warped perceived cost of product imported. Dude refused to pay, post office had to ship it back to China. He got refunded. Case closed.

A hack that may help you in the future is to use third party shipper when shipping costly and heavy goods. It is cheaper and they tend to know their way around custom. If shipping a lot of items, if you can afford to, split it into smaller parts. That way you won't be billed much by the custom and NIPOST peeps.

Please I want to ship a phone from Bakersfield California to Nigeria. Which shipping company I fit use Abeg, the best among them I've used USPS 4 time I only go 2 of my package the hooked in Lagos. I've not tried any other shipping company.. Please which one be the best wey I fit use.

did your brother use dhl or standard AliExpress shipping cos this is the first time I am hearing this . especially for phones I don't know about other gadgets or equipments

He used standard aliexpress shipping. The seller even declared a lower value. But I guess the guys at the post office already googled the phone or know the cost. I noticed some online shops were selling it 200k, but 34k as custom duty is too damn high!

Post Office location does not matter, custom officials in Lagos slams charges arbitrarily to goods they deem is worth a certain value.

The N100 to N1000 collection is still ongoing, but it depends on the goods bought. To test if what I'm saying is true, buy an iPhone 8 and get back to me if they allowed you to pay only N500 to collect it

From the tracking information obtained here and here, mail left on 14th of September to Namibia. If you have someone that can help check the location in Namibia, to ascertain if mail had arrived, send them to check. Sometimes tracking may cease to update, that does not mean the mail is not on the move.

A friend had similar issues last year when a package was sent to him via usps, the tracking status was IN TRANSIT but the item was already in the postoffice here in naija. Please help.
