u should be happy bro, Edo is advancing.the blackmailers and wailers are increasing our popularity and their campaign of deceit is ignorantly turning out to be for our favor..I have been privileged to have travel out to several states across Nigeria u will be surprised by their poor infrastructures,inadequate power supply,dirty and erosion ravaged environment and high level of crimes but they don't make FP but when there is black out in Benin for just 10 minutes it's straight up..the problem here is we are too accomodating.A lot of strangers everywhere.80% of the crimes committed here are perpetrated by the same persons we gave our land to but their siblings still come here to attack us on nairaland. what a shame.

Lol even most of the prostitutes in Benin City are from other tribes and other states in Nigeria.
Nigeria needs unity. But yes Edo is one of the wealthiest states in Nigeria. After Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, Delta Akwa Ibom you then have Edo. Most of the other states earn far less then Edo and their always dragging Edo’s name in the sand calling in undeveloped.
Well as Jesus Christ will say, love your neighbor as yourself even when they hate and persecute you.
It’s the only way this country will move forward is if we drop tribalism and hate.

Nice, yes we are all related and have a strong unique bond. And yes it’s true a lot of the SS ethnic groups have a strong connection to Benin City. The Oba during those times only allowed the Bini ethnic group to speak the Bini language, that’s why a lot of the different ethnic groups originating from Benin City speak different languages like Ijaw, Urohobo, Ika, Istekiri etc, instead of Bini. I really wish our country would unite as one people. We are so related and have beautiful culture, pride.
Our country with is massive population, abundance of resources, well educated, beautiful cultured and religious people, have massive potential.
