Just asking to know more about them because there is one man I know that's a victim of abandoned property. The man built a house in Ahoda 1965/66 before the war. Then after the war, his house was called "Abandoned " making the man to move to back to Onitsha with his family and he started from the scratch again. Being an industrious igbo man he is, he was able to build not one house, but close to ten houses in Onitsha which his children and grandchildren are currently enjoying the proceeds.

Fastfoward to 2011, the son of the man was able to locate that house again. How he was able to locate the house is through one popular school that was built adjacent to the house according to what his father told him. You know people always use schools, churches and hospitals to locate a place easily . Again, the father as a young married man then took a picture in front of his house when he finished building it as young business man that has made it life.
When the son visited the place in 2011, although that was not his purpose of going to Ahoda, he went there for something else but he's an inquisitive person who likes making inquiries about the past. That house is still the way the father left it in 1967, no renovation, no painting nothing. They haven't changed the zink, you can imagine how a house that was built in 60's will look like without renovation . According to the man, he saw domestic animals entering and coming out from a room like normal humanbeings . Everywhere was so dirty.

Stealing someone's properties is one thing, but maintaining those properties is another thing. Igbos have moved on and acquired more even more they acquired before the war. Those than stole their properties cannot maintain it maybe either or they are timid or they lack the capacity.

The reason why I asked about Ahoda is because I thought it's occupied by ijaws because we know that ijaws are the people that championed the issue of "Abandoned properties"

The only state agitation I would support is Anioma. Chopping up territory from 5 small SE states to piece together one small new state sounds quite extreme and such a state would be in political turmoil in our political climate where we're always arguing about rotational leadership. It could be true that Igbos have bought everywhere because I know what Igbos can do. I didnt just tell this story for telling sake, it's a reality.That house could still be there because people that were living in it as of 2011 didnt look like people that have future/hope. They were looking so miserable according to the man. You should have asked why am I only interested in Ahoda people?. It's because of this story.
I am only striving to know more about their stand in Rivers state and other thnic groups in the state.

As I am now I am in 100 percent support of anything Biafffra. You can go through my posts. I always call out anybody that decides to critisize Nnamdi Kanu, I see them as enemies of not only IPOBs, but Igbos in general. Anything to make Igbos to pull of this unholy union will make me happy.
I will perpetually love those Igbos in SS that never denied their Igbo heritage.
I will still love non in Igbos in SS that believe in IPOB . I won't also condemn the whole SS non Igbos just because of non challant attitude some of them exhibit.

This is a welcome development, Delta State government are now telling us that they are listing to our cries.
We are not ungrateful group, thus we must commend any good development in the State and all organs of government that make this a reality.
We therefore call on all Ndokwa Students to key into this, the importance of this development first, is the recognition of Ukwuani as an identity and as an ethnic group.
Secondly, is that the fast diminishing of Ukwuani language in the society is gradually restoring, come a clear defined and the study of Ukwuani history that would stand a taste of time.
This is a great breakthrough to the Ukwuani race, while waiting in anticipation to see the establishment of at list one higher institution in Ndokwa Nation by the State Government we say thanks to the Government, the Ministry of Education and the Management of Agbor College of Education.

I was looking at these two maps and a thought struck me about the new biafran struggle.

I will suggest that if the biafran struggle ever gets serious, we can negotiate with gov on boundaries that work.

U see how close abia state is to the sea? Only 3 lgas in rivers state seperates abia from the deep sea.

We can negotiate with fg to gv us those 3 lgas which are Oyigbo, khana and opobo lgs. In return, we will for-go all igboland in SS. Including asaba and ph and every othet land outside se. That way, we wont be landlocked and we wont be taking strategic fg territories.

The people in those communities can be resettled like the bakassi pennisular case. Those who want to remain will be given authonomy within biafra. Recognising them as a minority group. They will have a share of sea port revenue with biafran govt.

Our oshimili and aniocha brothers in delta state can also declare that they must join us. Am sure fg and international community can and will respect that. The rest of delta igbo or rivers igboid can continue in nigeria with wat ever identity they choose.

As for oil, we can also negotiate to keep the current sharing formular for our 5 se states

If you think back to when "Old Rivers State" contained almost an equal amount of both Igbo and Ijaw you know that the Ijaw dominated the political space of the state. The political elites of the Ijaw had a scheme which they would run, they would inflate the number of votes they got from the part of the state which is now Bayelsa and they would win many elections because the inflated number of votes garnered from present day Bayelsa, the number of votes from that area were and are greater than the actual population even today.

Some of the Easterner Igbos knew of this game and decided to throw the Ikwerre a political life line of sorts by giving the Ijaw a State of "their own" and giving the Rivers Igbos political breathing room as the game played by the political elites of Bayelsa could no longer be sustained if the mainly Ijaw portion was turned into its very own state. With no additional local governments to inflate voting power, the Ijaw elites lost political power in the current Rivers State, but retain a great deal of sway even till today. The end result we see now are Rivers Igbos running the state since. Remember that after the war Ijaw were put at the epicenter of Rivers politics by the Center, giving them their "own" state was a way to re-balance things.

"Landmass" has always been a political issue and weaponized by some ethnics groups in Nigeria. Any time you see those words, just know they are code words used to scheme those without landmass, but with higher population figures.

This is the same thing that will happen to igbo houses northerners and Yorubas are patiently waiting to steal. Even if they are successful, those houses will eventually become outdated and deteriorate.

Bayelsa was created by Abacha. I wouldn't say that Igbos championing and showing solidarity in supporting the cause means it was created by Igbos. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement in which Ijaws get their own state swimming in oyel money, while the Igboid groups of Rivers get to seize the political initiative in Rivers State.
Ignoring that dispute though, my point is about how population, landmass and ethnic diversity features in state creation. Speaking purely from a perspective of political prudence, on none of these counts do the SE merit a new state created from the existing 5. Plus, if we truly support restructuring (and our voices are the loudest about restructuring) which would include greater resource control and devolution of power from the centre, we should be looking at how to make our states more economically viable. We like to insult Northerners as being economic parasites, but purely by data available, SE states are big economic parasites. Ebonyi and Imo would barely have an economy without FAAC allocations, considering how little they generate in IGR. Even Anambra continues to underperform and can't surpass N20 billion a year in IGR when states like Rivers and Ogun are pursuing N100 billion, and our Delta neighbours are generating over N50billion. Demanding another state is telling the world that our restructuring agitation is just for show and not heartfelt. Our current structure is just fine as it is and we should be looking to make that work. All the Etiti and Njaba and Adada etc agitations make no sense to me. The only one that does is Anioma.

It's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one to succeed in mantaning what does not belong to him let alone progressing in life.
Check those that confisticated those properties how they are today, then compare them with igbos today and contrast. .. The result is there for the world to see.
Take away everthing from Igbo man, then give him some time again , he won't only meet up, he will also surpass you in all ramifications. Every tribe has their own blessing. God blessed igbos with spirit entrepreneurship and ability to make wealth irrespective of how harsh the environment or the economy is.

Ogoni land will forever remain contaminated. There is nothing government can do about it. They are just using ogoni cleanup to play politics.
People from that area also know that their environment is beyond repair.
Even Briggs once said that Ogoni clean up is totally impossible. They are just using that clean up to siphon public fund.
