NaijirianKing:As far as I see it, despite all the lingering resentments, the SS is the most natural ally of the SE. There is some cultural affinity. We largely vote along the same lines. And we've largely both supported devolution of power from the centre. Never mind Igbo/Igboid SS groups, on a lot of political matters, Igbos would largely agree with Ijaws or Efiks for example. Fears of treachery from these groups towards Igbos are overplayed. I don't support Anioma for the political benefits. There are little to none (though championing their cause might ingratiate us to them). I just support them because their agitation makes more sense than that of other SE groups. The worst idea is the Etiti one. This guy summarized in well: http://thenationonlineng.net/etiti-state-creation-not-feasible/ “Anytime there is need to create more states, cultural affinity and relationship among groups of people have always been the yardstick used in determining who belongs to where. It's a very, very, very very, very bad idea borne of desperation. There is simply no case given our geographical realities to carve out another state. |

NaijirianKing:You have said it all. Perfectly captured analysis. Once igbos realize that the are the glue holding this God forsaken land together, they can smartly leverage the threat of leaving to get whatever they want. It’s very unfortunate that Nigeria is full of naive and coward Africans. Igbos were placed and surrounded with these types of people with no guts. We have to stop being used as shield for people who hate us. It has to stop and it must stop. |

NaijirianKing:I think if Biafra becomes an independent nation, it shouldn’t allow any group who refused to join it initially to later join it. That’s a major sign of lack of loyalty and future trouble source and headaches. |
| Re: . by Bede2u(m): 3:13pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
NaijirianKing:u are correct. But i dont think yorubas wanna leave nigeria. About 40% of them are muslims and see the north as their brothers. Some yorubas in ilorin are also part fulani....plus dangote, dantata and a lot of northern oligarchs own lagos. Yorubas have everything they need in one nigeria. And u know most of their leaders are yoruba and pro- north I agree that niger delta will want to leave once igbos leave. We should help FG ensure that doesnt happen. If we buy parts of khana and opobo from either FG or the indegenes themselves, we would be splitting the niger delta into two. Awka-cross on one side and rivers, bayelsa delta on another....making it hard for them to agree. We might even under-take a defence pact with nigeria to help them fight ND millitants once they start agitating.. ![]() We would have our sea access and still help the FG keep peace in their oil region. How much do u think the area in question might cost compared to how easy it will make life for future igbos. The area in question isnt worth much today because of oil polution. Imagine if we buy it, clean it up and build a sea port in it. Our children will be proud of such a deft move. And ikwerre will hate as usual. ![]() |

I think you guys are underplaying the cultural diversity of the south south. As the Yorubas are looking for a stake in Atiku's government while the igbos are looking for presidency assurance come 2023. The south south people are relatively quiet. You can also smell the division of purpose when you see the isokos and urhobos joining APC enmasse so that they can take power from anioma. What am I trying to draw out from these? The south south we all think will push for exit after we might have gotten Biafra will be more incoherent than us. The political tussle that is silent will be so visible that they will just amount to another middle belt. Some of the ethnic groups who will want to Lord over the rest will have to kiss the palm of the caliphate to make it a reality. As you can see now, some of those groups are already rearing their ugly heads up. This is to show you that many of your postulations might not be the case when we want to leave. I think the north and the southwest kept the south south to checkmate our excesses. They make them water down our influences by putting Igbo hating Igbos close to us in the south south. So the best bet for us is to bring down one of those defences down. The anioma has always loved to control a state of their own. Why can't we fight for them to have it. With one condition of being added to the southeast. This alone will give them sense of belonging to push for a southeastern agenda because they know they will benefit from it. We will not have real issues with these groups because they also have high HDI as a group. This will radically make the southeast only Biafra fly with little dissenting voice of opposition in the country. |

Purehuman:i agree with all u said. I just want to say that tho i want anioma state created and added to SE, they really wont solve the biggest problem of SE which is direct access to sea port. The only viable way to solve that is to include parts non-igbo SS into SE. The smallest parts of SS we can include into SE to gain our sea access are the LGAs of khana, oyigbo and opobo. Either we find a way to do the above, or we remain landlocked. Even if we add anioma and ikwerre join...still wont gv us the deep blue sea |

oilPUSSY:true talk. One of my paddy who is a petrol chemical engineer served there.. They were been taught by Bulgarian. One day there was a massive oil spillage.. They wanted to cover it up but my paddy and the rest who was serving there protested that this is not what they taught them about handling oil spillage if such an incident occurs. The Bulgarians didn't care. They called the village chiefs and bribed them with huge amount of money. Millions of of naira and they became silent... Nothing happened..and the oil affected alot of places and this chiefs bagged their children future in their pocket. Every year they keep shouting ogoni clean up |

Bede2u:oga Udon Kolo. Stop all this nonsense. Stop reasoning like a child.. What should be our goal is to make ugwuta/onitsha/Azumini river port viable. Atleast u should use this ur evil genius brain to start telling us how it gonna work and how to enlarge it to accommodate more ships for the igbo nation |

arinzeejikonye:I understand where you are coming from but we need to work with neighbors that are also willing to work with us. We cannot continue to blindly embrace anyone or group that mean us harm. I understand that you have a one nigerianist mentality but it also needs a dose of the reality on the ground. You cant blindly embrace everyone in the name of one Nigeria including those who wish you harm. Anyways thanks for the beautiful Zion estate picture. Its coming out really nice. I hope they do beautiful landscaping. |

Bede2u:All we have to do is buy the straight just like Alaska or we incorporate only ogoni..obigbo and opobo wouldn't be an issue because they are Igbo already! We can forget Ikwere and Ọgba...they are useless..we don't need them or bad as it may be , we dregde the straight to Obuaku or Oguata and fight for water right ! They can't fight us ...we are 40 million strong but we can do them protectorate agreement ...that is the best |
| Re: . by Bede2u(m): 5:46pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
mightguy:do u know wat is last resort? Our last resort should be a river port. Rivers are owned by the countries they flow tru. That is why nigeria gives ghana people electricity....to stop them from daming their portion of the niger. We should only resort to our rivers if everything we do to have direct access to the sea fails. We cant gv up having direct access to the sea because a few people insult us..thats a defeatist mentality. Stopping b4 u start because ppl tell u it cant be done. Wat u should ask urself is this...ok it cant be done, fine, but should it be done? |

mightguy:buying land is evil? Since wen? Igbos have been buying lands since 1970. Of all the lands that we have ever bought anywhere, buying parts of khana and opobo will be the most important ever

Bede2u:We have options we can give them protectorate like what China offered Taiwan and Macau or what France offered Monaco or what British offered gilbatar or Falklands or what USA offers Costa Rica |
| Re: . by IkpuMmadu: 5:54pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
Bede2u:Yes...they would sell! Those guys want money or we can even lease the land for like 200yrs it depends and promise them protection and employment |
| Re: . by horsepower101: 5:55pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
Bede2u:Not when the rivers are shared by nations. Look at Europe. Also look at International laws on rivers shared by multiple nations. In fact Obaku port own will be the easiest case because of its closeness to the sea. Let the others groups try to stop vessels trying to stop at obaku port and see if they wont lose the land that they are trying to hold on to. It will be a disaster for them trying to mess with Igbos. |
| Re: . by IkpuMmadu: 5:55pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
Bede2u:That's another option...we can make bonny or opobo an oversea territory making the waterways ours automatically |
