Yes...they would sell! Those guys want money or we can even lease the land for like 200yrs it depends and promise them protection and employment
yea...i like this. Lease it with maybe $100 million for 200 yrs... grin after 200 yrs they should come and collect it

Not when the rivers are shared by nations. Look at Europe. Also look at International laws on rivers shared by multiple nations. In fact Obaku port own will be the easiest case because of its closeness to the sea. Let the others groups try to stop vessels trying to stop at obaku port and see if they wont lose the land that they are trying to hold on to. It will be a disaster for them trying to mess with Igbos.

Gbam ..the way the Suez cannal was fought ...countries have fought over water rights and we would fight it

Even India is fighting Kashmir

by then it would be too late because it would have a renewable agreement that is mandatory...these are options or we give them protection and they have their autonomy and let the waterways be

It's a river port.
Ikwerre has no sea coast.
You can only access the sea via Rivers controlled by Ijaws down South.
Your situation isn't different from those of Ndiigbo.
This will become clearer once Nigeria is restructured and Ijaws get oil Rivers state they clamour for.

Balderdash.

We have options we can give them protectorate like what China offered Taiwan and Macau or what France offered Monaco or what British offered gilbatar or Falklands or what USA offers Costa Rica

To You and Bede, what would you do if they refuse to sell you even plot of land? What if they just refuse? You are thinking that people will jutsell their ancestral lands just to give you sea access? You guys are not being realistic and thats what really annoys me the most.

thats not true. Somalia has closed many times the river that south sudan uses. The niger river in nigeria is 100% owned by nigeria. The one in ghana is 100% owned by ghana.

If oil is discovered in lokoja river niger today, it will be owned 100% by nigeria

wat are u talking about. If they refuse, will we commit mass suicide?

I have said we should only resort to river ports if all other attempts fail.

which means u shouldnt pollute shared rivers. It doesnt say u must keep it open for ur neighbours ship to pass tru ur territory. Wat if ur neighbour is bringing arms to fight u in a war

Who dash monkey banana. For where!
Onne seaport belongs to Eleme people, even though Okrika people have a considerable stake in it as well.

Ikwerreland has no sea coast. Just like Igboland, they can only access the sea via Rivers controlled by Ijaws down South.

So Onne is a seaport while PH wharf is a River port?.... you see your life?

Both of them lie on the Bonny River and the same fate befall them both.. If Elemes arent landlocked because of Onne port, Ikwerres too arent. Simple as that.

But what do the Igbos have except pipe dreams?

Exactly. that should be the first option because its the most realistic and practical. Obaku is closer to the open sea than even port harcourt.

comparing the igbos with ikwerre is like comparing Africa with little madagascar.

The only reason ikwerre is mentioned in igbo discussions is because u lots answer igbo names and many igbo errornously thought u guys as brothers. Have u ever heard igbos mention ejeagham in a discussion? Are ikwerres larger or richer than them?

Stop feeling funky and go to ur ikwerre group pages. Ur only agenda as an ethnic group is igbo hate. Isnt that funny?

If you really know Rivers state and her geographical map, you'd have know that after Port Harcourt, what you have down south is water and swamp. Ikwerres own the usable land in Rivers state, the rest beneath us is just water and swamp.

Ask yourself why didnt the British build a port down in Ijawlands. Why do they have to site it in PH. Simple answer, the land down to the sea is useless. Period.

Period ..we don't need them and they can't fight us ..they are minority...we over run them

Obviously a mistake.
Onne is a River port too.

Ndiigbo can get our own River port at Obuaku Ndoki too.
So no biggie, all that is lacking now is the political will to do so, which we would have in Biafra. We would still have the Ijaw bottle neck to deal with.
Ikwerreland simply has nothing to offer Igboland that we already don't have, only misinformed Igbos cling unto Ikwerre.
Ikwerreland is simply not strategic to Igbo nation interests.

This is pure consolation. Anyway that is between you guys and the Ijaws to fight it out. They are getting ready to deal with you. Igbos should stay away completely from that drama as it unfolds.

Ikwerre isn't Igbo...I repeat they aren't Igbo
